  1. 1. I think we will play every possible game. (Reverse sweep of course) 2. I'll probably end up in the M again next season, so I'm not totally sure. 3. It has been amazing! My player is easily a top 10 defenseman in the M this season, despite only having 120 TPA. 4. The success I have had as a player, and as a team. Having the 'A' given to me was a huge honor, and hopefully I can keep up my scoring next season. 5. I want to focus more on defense, getting 80-85 rated there by next season, but with the new TPE changes, I'm going to have to wing it. 6. Philadelphia. Just because anything worse than a championship is worse than what they can do. (I personally think the Miami Marauders have the best shot, no bias)
  2. I'd love to apply, and just so you know I love talking about roller coasters as well (not so much bowling...)
  3. 1. Honestly, we are a really well built team. I think it's just a rough patch in the road and we will eventually snap out of it. 2. The Mexico City Kings are 100% suited to trade their backup goaltender for some defensive help in my mind. 3. Not really planning on doing anything, 2 TPE tasks are all I can really manage to do now sadly. 4. Not in a positive way, the Aces have come as a surprise to be so low in the standings. 5. It may be a little embarrassing to say, but I'm not sure how the VHLM playoffs work, but I'll say a good matchup for us could be the Wild. 6. For Whom The Bell Tolls - Metallica
  4. Glad to be wearing the "A" this season! Go Marauders!
  5. 1. We are looking great this season, being lead by the Wayne Gretzsky of VHLM has been a huge help . In all seriousness we are playing great as a team, and I really hope we can make a good playoff run come the time. 2. I honestly think this roster is great, only 3 of our players are anywhere near the 200 TPE cap so we have a ton of room to improve. 3. I think there being more than 2 private locker room channels would improve my experience. 4. I am incredibly excited to see who the captains are, I think Igor Molotov has the best shot at being the captain. 5. Nicholas Blue is a huge fan of collecting sports cards, and enjoys seeing the sights of whatever city he is in at the time. 6. I would have to say my performance, putting up more than a point per game so far in the season has been great!
  6. I obviously joined Scrabble Grapple by my own will!
  7. This is sick!! Thanks so much for this! Glad to be a part of the Scrabble Grapple Team
  8. Applied! I don't have much experience, so we can be confused together!
  9. WJC Team Europe Press Conference (Week Ending 1/23) Question 1: Were you expecting to make the team? Why or why not? Question 2: What do you expect from this team going into the tournament? Question 3: What team do you think will win the tournament this year? Question 4: What are your plans after this offseason? Question 5: Who's your pick for VHL rookie of the year in S82? Question 6: If you were to start a podcast (not VHL related), what would it be called, and what would it be about?
  10. Applied! Currently a WJC GM, looking to take the experience to something greater!
  11. I am an 18 year old, 5'6", 150lb, Canadian goalie playing for the Malmo Nighthawks. I average 8 capped TPE per week, and I am right handed. I have earned 2 trophies in my career and my top skills are defense, scoring and skating.

I hope to lead this team to a great tournament alongside @Moon. For those not selected, don't let this get you down, there's a high chance your player was taken into major consideration, and I had to make some tough decisions in the process of making this 15 player roster.
  14. One of the main reasons I enjoy hockey is watching new players grow. It makes a new season just that much more exciting, seeing which rookies are truly great, which rookies are busts, and which rookies come out of nowhere to steal the spotlight. This excitement is no different in the VHL, while we can see the specific attributes to each player, all of our fates are still at the hands of the simulator. (Note: This list is in no particular order) The Red Menace | G | 6'6, 190lb Boasting an incredible stat-line, Menace has quickly risen the rankings of the Wranglers in their first year with the franchise. Playing with the Istanbul Red Wolves, the Russian native had a record of 32-14-4, while maintaining a .925 SV%. Menace is also a solid weekly earner, never gaining less than 5 points in a given week. Despite their early success, getting a spot on the Calgary roster as a goalie is going to be tough for Menace. Their starter, Sirkants Klamasteris has had a very long and successful career, and with another season on their contract, they don't seem to be going anywhere for a season. This leaves the expiring contract of Dexter Vaughn, the backup, to be the only opening in the Calgary lineup. This doesn't mean that it's a free pass for Menace to get a roster spot next season. Fellow Wranglers prospect Alex Parise will be hungry for that spot as well, they've spent 2 years in the VHLE, and have been very consistent with a .917 average between those 2 years. Overall, Menace is going to be a future VHL starter, although we might not see him for the next few seasons if he stays in the Calgary system. Alex Parise | G | 6'8, 205lb The S79 draftee comes next on this list. Parise has spent their last 2 seasons with Bratislava, where they have been stuck behind starter Orion D H Chiester IX in both years. Despite their small portion size, however, they have shown good talent in their games played. Over Parise's 2 seasons with Bratislava, they have a record of 33-17-4, with a .917 SV%. As mentioned before, Parise's path to the Calgary roster is fighting for that backup spot against Menace. Despite Parise's contract expiring in this off-season, I don't expect Calgary to let Parise go into free agency. Their career just started, and they haven't had the chance to showcase themselves enough in the VHLE. Compared to Menace, I think the Russian just edges out Parise, despite the 50 point TPE gap in favor of Parise. Overall, I see Parise becoming a fringe starter in the VHL if they keep up this level of TPE earning over the next few seasons. We definitely won't see this Canadian in the VHL for the next few years, unless Calgary decides to trade one of their goalie prospects, which isn't entirely impossible. Daniel Janser | LW | 5'8, 183lb The final prospect on this list is Daniel Janser, the Swiss-born winger. In his first season in the VHLE, after being drafted 8th overall in the VHL draft, he scored 69 points in 72 games. Janser's 2-Way play is the most significant aspect of his game. Even some defenseman don't rack up 215 hits in a season. Janser's path to the VHL would be very tough to make in this offseason. The Wranglers are currently running a 6-4-2, meaning Janser would have to slot in on the 2nd line of forwards, where he could replace veteran left-winger Pekko Viitanen. Viitanen is a free agent this offseason, after putting up 59 points in 72 games. The difference in TPE between the two is vast, however, and Janser needs to grow his TPE bank by around 200 to be able to match Viitanen. That is why Janser will not make the VHL roster in S82, instead bursting onto the premier scene in S83 and being a part of the new Calgary core. Overall, Janser is going to be a VHL level winger in a few short seasons, and will probably grow to be an elite playmaker, only if he keeps up his max earnings every week.
  15. Nicholas Blue, a 6'0, 204lb, 2-Way defenseman has entered for the upcoming VHLM draft. His life started in the bustling city of New York, where he quickly fell in love with the game of hockey. His parents were avid VHL fans, but neither of them pursued the sport outside of their local junior leagues. At just the age of 5 he was entered into the NYJHL, where he actually started as a forward. However, by the age of 8, his coach on the Manhattan Island Tigers realized his defensive potential. He quickly started to play Blue on the defensive pairings, and he shined, quickly turning into a top defenseman in the league. Finally, at the age of 13, Nicholas was able to play competitive hockey in the second level of the North East Junior Hockey League. With his incredible experience in hockey, Blue became a top pairing defenseman as soon as he stepped on the ice. In his first competitive season, he posted a wonderful stat-line (42 games, 30 points), and won the best defenseman award for his league. In his second year, he was sent up to the first level, where he still maintained defensive consistency, but his offensive magic wasn't there. In his second year at the first level he found himself again, putting up big offensive numbers, while still maintaining his elite defensive status. Scouts were starting to notice him, but he wasn't that popular of a prospect because of the competition level of the NEJHL. He had the option to move to many higher level leagues, but decided to stay in his home for his last 2 seasons and committed to staying in the NEJHL. His last 2 years were years of a steady rise to NEJHL stardom, winning the Best Defenseman in NEJHL award twice, and winning the MVP award as a 17 year old as well. He is very excited to see where he lands in the VHLM draft. NICHOLAS BLUE - JUNIOR STATLINE NEJHL II (13) | 42 games, 6 goals, 24 assists, 30 points (Best Defenseman in NEJHL II Award) NEJHL (14) | 40 games, 1 goal, 14 assists, 15 points NEJHL (15) | 42 games, 4 goals, 31 assists, 35 points NEJHL (16) | 42 games, 8 goals, 40 assists, 48 points (Best Defenseman in NEJHL Award) NEJHL (17) | 42 games, 11 goals 41 assists, 52 points (Best Defenseman in NEJHL Award, NEJHL Offensive Defenseman Award, NEJHL MVP Award)
