  1. HC Davos Dynamo Press Conference You ONLY have to answer 6 of the 8 questions Week Of September 1st 2024 - September 8th 2024 1. At the trade deadline, we acquired Yaroslav Trunov! What are your thoughts on Davos’ new addition? 2. How do you feel about our squad at this point in the season? 3. Have you ever gotten burnt out by the VHL’s weekly tasks? How do you get back on track/earn TPE consistently? 4. If there was an emergency backup situation, how do you think your player would fare in the crease for Davos if called upon? (the inverse for our goalie AKK— how would your tendy do as a skater?) 5. Should the trivia system be overhauled or changed in any way for newer members? 6. What is your favorite point task to do in the VHL? 7. What is the proper way to pronounce the word GIF? 8. I like to bring this question back every so often as some may have noticed: is a hot dog a sandwich?
  2. recreates, please join the lynx. we have cookies :ott:

  3. More than halfway into the season, I wanted to recap my player River Harrington’s regular season stats thus far in the VHLM. Selected 2nd overall by the Ottawa Lynx, they were working with a thin roster, but I believe River has put up some respectable numbers. They’re by no means award-winning ones, but decent enough. Through 42 games, River has 12 goals and 43 assists for a total of 55 points. While I know these numbers should be spectacular for a defenseman, I had higher goals set since I was building him to be more offensively-minded. He also only has 12 goals this season, which ties the amount he had in only 19 games last season without a capped build, so that puzzled me. He also boasts 51 hits and 75 shots blocked. Dumping more than 100 TPE by the next season’s start should be extremely satisfying and I do think I will up his PC and DC so he can keep possession of the puck more often, hence increasing his ability to score. Given that he’s a defenseman, I gotta return to those core attributes. To cap this write up off when looking at the stat leaderboards: River is tied for 9th in points overall (55), tied for 3rd in assists (43), second in defenseman points (55), and tied for 9th in shots blocked (75). Overall, not too bad, I’d say.

  6. DBC Anchor: Good evening, loyal viewers of the Dimmensia Broadcasting Corporation! Tonight, we join Michael Burrows for an interview with Ottawa Lynx defenseman, River Harrington! Harrington was brought in on waivers by Ottawa last season alongside a familiar face: Brandon Petan Jr.! The two returned to Ottawa via the 2nd and 4th overall picks respectively in this year’s VHLM dispersal draft. Let us join Michael as he introduces us to Harrington: Michael Burrows: River, thank you for joining us! First of all, congratulations. How does it feel to have been selected 2nd overall? River Harrington: Feels great. I mean. . . I’m back in a city I love and a team where I’m wanted. Our GM trusted that Brandon and I could breathe some new life into the Lynx and we both have made it clear we are going to give it 112% out there on the ice every practice and game. MB: Ottawa has had a tough start this season. How are you and the team feeling going into these next few matchups? What’s the mindset? RH: Just taking it one game at a time. We’re not worried. There’s still a lot of hockey to play, y’know? We just need to get pucks deep, get pucks to the net, stay solid defensively. Onye has been giving it his all in net and we need to support him. MB: Now, the fans have been wondering— what are your thoughts on Slava Kovalenko’s new captaincy role for the Hounds, since you two also have a history? RH: Slava. . . what a guy, eh? He’s a stud, though. Sometimes he doesn’t give himself enough credit, but he’s been on fire this season and deserves all the praise. I told him he’d be the steal of the draft and look at that— I was right. Miss seeing his face everyday, but I’ll always be one of his biggest fans. MB: You heard it here, folks! Moving on, is there any particular goal you’re shooting for in your career? Trophies? Idols you look to emulate? RH: I’ve always been a big Skor McFleury fan. To put up the numbers he does while also being a defensive monster who isn’t afraid to put his body on the line is something I’ve always admired, and been modeling my own game after. There’s a lot of VHLers out there I hold massive respect for, but Skor is definitely up there for me, yeah. MB: Lastly, any words for the Lynx fans going into the rest of the season? RH: Lynx fans, thank you for your unwavering support! The rest of the boys and I feel the energy every time we step onto the ice and just know we’re working our asses off everyday. We’re getting into the groove now and wins will follow. MB: River, thank you again for taking time out of your evening to join us here at the DBC! We wish you and the Lynx the best of luck this season. Back to you in the studio.

  9. HC Davos Dynamo Press Conference You ONLY have to answer 6 of the 8 questions Week Of August 11th 2024 - August 18th 2024 1. We have finished up all our backup starts with a promising record! Thoughts on our performance thus far this season? 2. If you are participating in VHFL, who was your first pick this season? Even if you didn’t sign up, who would you have drafted with your first pick? 3. Who is your way-too-early Davos MVP candidate? 4. If so, what was your favorite sport to watch? 8. Do you have any pets?
  10. Thank you so much, @Alex and @N0HBDY!! When starting out as a first gen, I couldn’t have even imagined that my player would have a career like this, let alone having his jersey retired for two franchises. It’s been a hell of a ride. I couldn’t have asked for anything more from both teams and truly appreciate everything. Still in disbelief that Summers’ name and number will be in the rafters!!
  11. OTTAWA, ON — River Harrington and Brandon Petan Jr. have arrived back in Ottawa after being selected 2nd and 4th overall respectively by the Lynx, who they played a short stint for in S94 coming off of waiver claims. The two were seen renewing their lease for their shared apartment for the next year as they prepare for training camp. There had been reports coming out post-draft that Harrington and Petan Jr., who are childhood friends, specifically told teams who’d interviewed them that they wanted to stick together. Ottawa’s general manager, Blake Laughton, jumped on the chance to bring back two players who breathed new life into a struggling Lynx squad who just barely missed the playoffs after their arrival. Now with the return of the two offensive and defensive powerhouses, along with another returning S94 waiver Lynx in Kyle Evans, as well as new additions: Marty Flowers, Mikey Lopez, and Seto Kaiba, they are set to join blossoming goaltender Onyekachukwu Chidieber Oluwaseun in a quest for the Founder’s Cup.
  12. HC Davos Dynamo Press Conference You ONLY have to answer 6 of the 8 questions Week Of August 4th 2024 - August 11th 2024 1. A new season is upon us! What is one goal you want to accomplish with your player for S95? 2. We have also just come off another exciting draft with some familiar faces joining the squad! What is the story behind your VHL username? 6. What is one thing you would implement to STHS if given the chance? 7. Are you participating in VHFL this season? 8. Spotify or Apple Music?
  13. so. many. numbers. but also so interesting to see how all these goalers stack up!! incredible work, vattghern! sorry not sorry for summers terrorizing you our entire careers.
  14. To end the Junior Showcase Round Robin, River Harrington has 10 goals and 16 assists adding up to 26 points in 30 games. While I wished he was scoring a point per game, this is still an impressive stat line, especially for a defenseman! 7 of his goals were power play goals, and he also had 3 power play assists, which I thought was an interesting thing to see in the index. No short handed points, though, unfortunately. He also racked up 37 hits, 39 shots blocked, and 16 penalty minutes for a Rush team that concluded the Round Robin with an incredible 26-2-2 record! We were firing on all cylinders— everyone knew their job and did it. To put it into perspective further, the second place Brigade was 20 points back from us. I hope that going into the playoffs, we can recreate this success and the Rush take the entire tournament! I have high expectations only because we were only beaten twice in regulation. Only time will tell.
