  4. With the VHLM GM's being announced this means that the draft date for the S85 VHLM draft should be announced soon. Congrats to Jason who got the AGM job with Ottawa by the way. As the draft approaches and more and more anticipation builds up as the hype gets louder I thought it would be nice to make a media spot of my thoughts before the draft happens. I have made some great friends in the VHL and although playing alongside them will be impractical it's not impossible. We are all consistent earners and would love to be drafted to the same team but we also know that there is a great possibility that it may not happen. There are rumours that Miami traded for a second round pick so they could take my friend with that pick and whether it happens or not, whoever does pick Kirby in the draft will be extremely happy with their choice. Kirby or Lachlan Summers, is an extremely good, talented, young goaltender in the VHLM spending this past season with the San Diego Marlins, in the JST with the Dehli Pickles and the Pro Am with the Arctic Ground Squirrels. Lachlan was a vital piece to the Pickles roster and helped the us win games. They have a great personality and they're really friendly. The other person I would like to be drafted with if possible is Sadie St Louis. Sadie is an absolute unit on the ice, she came into the VHL the same time I did. Our first 3 games together in San Diego were bad. She had 14 shots on goal but nothing to show for her efforts but ever since then she tore up the league. Sadly in the JST she was protected from the expansion draft so therefore Lemorse could not pick her to be on the Pickles, instead she stayed on the Brigade who I believe are up 3-1 in the finals right now. In the Pro Am she is part of the Arctic Ground Squirrels so she plays alongside Lachlan Summers again. She is an incredible person and very motivated to earn TPE this is why I can see some teams being high on the likes of Sadie. Now for John Richards. John Richards isn't perfect he tries to be the best he can be and he's pretty good at shooting but also can pass the puck like no other. He finished the season with San Diego at just under a point per game and the same thing in the JST. In the Pro Am, John Richards plays for the Atlantic City Angus, unfortunately he did not get the opportunity to play alongside Sadie outside the VHLM but he's hoping that doesn't change heading into the draft. He likes the team he plays for in the Pro Am and is ready to suit up for game 1 tomorrow. He hopes to be drafted to a team who also picks one of if not both of Sadie and Kirby but knows this is a difficult thing to ask and so he simply just has hope. These are my thoughts on the upcoming S85 VHLM draft hopefully a team can keep the trio together.
  5. Last week, goaltender Lachlan Summers was in the locker room sitting next to John Richards having a conversation. Lachlan, the counterpart of Jordani Bingting, was talking about how he underperforms in high pressure situations as in OT. Richards, aware of the struggles that Lachlan was facing, then asked Lachlan "do you get nervous when OT happens?" Lachlan then replied with "yes." This is breaking news for everyone who knew Lachlan as this is the first time he admitted to having any sort of feelings outside of his usual joyful self. Lachlan DOES get nervous Jordani Bingting however does not. John raised up from his spot and looked at Lachlan in shame and disgust thinking "how can he get nervous?" Lachlan felt very selfish and opted to spend the rest of his night at home with his 78 pet kangaroos and watch Urban Rescue Ranch on YouTube because one of Lachlans kangaroos named Marcus Kontavion really likes farmer Ben. Now that all of the news and drama in San Diego has been released publically, how will the rest of the team respond to this? Will Richards and Summers try to work things out with each other or will they forever be enemies after the bold statement of Lachlan Summers? Come back next week if you want to see how this all turns out.
  6. JORDANI BINGTING MARRIED FRANCIS DUCHMAN?! CONGRACHULASHONS
  7. I would like to apply for this job! Would love to become a GM someday.
  8. John Richards has proven to be one of the best goal scoring prospects the VHLM has to offer as he notched a 4 goal game against the Miami Maurauders in the VHLM when he was playing for the San Diego Marlins and while playing for the Dehli Pickles, he scored a hat trick against another team. The Junior Showcase Tournament, where the Dehli Pickles and Richards are playing, has just begun their playoffs after a 30 game round robin. Richards in those 30 games scored 11 goals but was extremely inconsistent when it came to goal scoring. one night he'll score 2 goals and then he won't score again for the next 5 games. The inconsistency that Richards had shown left many to doubt his ability to play against stronger competition but Richards would prove all of his critiques wrong in game 1 of the playoffs against the Warriors where he scored 2 goals in a heartbreaking loss. He would then put up an assist in game 3 which unfortunately was another loss for the Pickles. Richards has shown he can score at will but can also be as dry as a desert. This is why Richards is labeled by us as the "unicorn player" in the draft. You just never know what you're going to get from him.
  9. As the JST round robin ends, Richards has seen much more progression from his individual performances. He has become a much more consistent and balanced player scoring a point almost every game. He finished the Round Robin with 28 points in 30 games played. He was just under a point per game and had 11 goals for his efforts. Teammate of Richards, Lachlan Summers noted that "his secondary scoring was what helped the team score more goals." Richards had a strong showing at the tournament so far and as the playoffs get underway he continues to impress even more. In playoff game number 1 the Pickles suffer a tough loss blowing a 3-1 lead in the third period where the Warriors came back, forced overtime and won. Richards had a strong playoff debut for the Pickles in game 1 scoring 2 goals. Game 2, Rihards was no where to be found as he was kept off the scoresheet all night. However the Pickles won that game by a score of 4-3. Game 3 was another loss this time in regulation time. As the pickles lost 6-3, Richards had an assist. So far in the playoffs Richards is a point per game and a positive contributer to the Pickles offense. He hopes that this is a consistent type of thing and that he can stay red hot. As the Warriors currently lead the series 2-1, the Pickles have some pressure to win games 4 and 5. Richards and others on the team will be doing the best they can to face off elimination and continue on to the next round but it all happens one game at a time. We suffered a very tough OT loss but we can't let that haunt us for the rest of the round. We have to continue to work as hard as possible and stick to our gameplan if we want to win. Richards is proud of his performance in the JST so far and in the ProAm he got drafted 41st overall. Being picked here means he goes ahead of his friends Lachlan, who for some reason, hasn't been drafted yet, and Sadie. To Richards being drafted before them means he went 1st overall. He can brag for seasons to come. He's excited to start the ProAm tournament and is eager to play alongside new teammates. Richards has also started to be interviewed for the upcoming VHLM draft. Las Vegas Aces General Manager, Shindigs, asked Richards if he would be willing to play for the Aces. The answer was obviously yes but Richards would play for anyone in the VHLM he's not the type of guy who will choose to say no because he knows he isn't talented enough to do so. Even if he were talented enough he still wouldn't, Richards is a heart and soul kind of guy he will devote everything to the team he is on and do his best to make his team succeed. Richards is hopeful that whichever team drafts him also drafts either Lachlan or Sadie or both but it's highly unlikely that the trio stays together. P.S: laptop screen is broken so i have to use my TV to see what I'm typing if there's many spelling, puntuation or grammatical errors please let it be as I'm doing the best I can with what I got.
  10. Since the last media spot I've done a lot has happened. As always Richards is eager to be playing games with his teammates and he is on the Delhi Pickles with a bunch of former San Diego Marlins teammates including all-star goaltender Kirbithan or Lachlan Summers. Richards joined the ProAm too but not too much has happened just yet there. Unfortunately the Delhi Pickles could not pick up Sadie St Louis but Richards is still happy with how the team is performing and is happy with his own performance. Richards is also extremely happy for Sadie as she is one of the JST's top point producers and Richards just loves to see his teammates succeed. Richards himself has only scored 8 points in the first 9 games but he is coming off of a four point game including a hat trick. He hopes to help the team ultimately win the tournament and be a contributing factor in the matter. Kirbithan, Sadie and I have developed a very strong friendship amongst ourselves and would love to be drafted to the same team in the VHLM draft but we all know that it is highly unlikely. Nontheless, Richards is looking forward to the draft and playing more games in the JST and starting in the ProAm. He hopes that whatever team he is drafted to includes some familiar teammates to be comfortable in the locker room. Richards has been often compared to Patrik Laine of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the NHL because of his inconsistencies goal scoring-wise but was also compared to Ondrej Palat of the New Jersey Devils by GM Jacob. Richards tries to model his game after Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos as that is Richards' favourite player in the NHL and really enjoys seeing his one-timer in action. Richards has recently put up stronger performances in the JST and he also finished the season with the San Diego Marlins a lot stronger than he had started. A lot can be said about his gaining in TPE but I like to say he got warmed up and is now on a ramped terror. Though Richards isn't a point per game it doesn't matter much because in San Diego he was just a single point below a point per game and now it's the same thing in the JST at the time I am writing this. As he gains TPE more and more he aims toupgrade his wrist shot attribute, his defensive coverage attribute and, his offensive vision attribute. So far these are the highest rated attributes he has and he aims to make his skating attribute a little better as well. Richards has been impressing me as of late and he should continue to impress as his career in the VHL continues. As long as Richards can figure out how to become a much more consistent and efficient at scoring I think every team would love to have a scoring right winger on their team. Like I said before Richards had a 4 point game in the JST 3 goals and an assist but he also had a four point game in the VHLM with the San Diego Marlins as well scoring 4 goals in a game. The way I sum up Richards is: when he's on he's on. This is just ensinuating that when Richards get's going offensively he can be dynamite but when he's not scoring it's not much you're getting from him. He is still a good back checker just looking at his stats (defensive stats) so when he's not doing much offensively you can probably count on a big blocked shot or a couple of hits that night. Funny thing to note before I end this media spot, Lachlan Summers the goaltender has a tripping penalty minor and a minor slashing penalty. I figure Summers is as angry as Ron Hextall from back in the day with the Flyers, Broad Street Bullies as they were called.
