The Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy winners usually fall within two categories: the best rookie starting goaltender, or the top scoring rookie skater. This year's top rookie starting goaltender was Deadpanda, giving the strong Menace team some quality goaltending. Deadpanda @Alex 42-13-9, .915 SV%, 2.66 GAA, 6 SO While these are not particularly impressive stats in comparison to other recent Stolzschweiger winning goaltenders, the fact no rookie skater ran away with point totals makes it not a particularly hot take to say Deadpanda is the ROTY frontrunner. So far, the hybrid era ROTY winning goalies are: (S96) Spider Panda 45-15-3, .920 SV%, 2.27 GAA, 9 SO (S88) Lachlan Summers 39-18-7, .930 SV%, 2.3 GAA, 4 SO (S87) Matt Murdock 39-21-4, .930 SV%, 2.39 GAA, 4 SO (S84) Augustus Kennedy 25-34-5, .930 SV%, 2.80 GAA, 6 SO (S83) Ben Dahl 33-27-4, .930 SV%, 2.74 GAA, 2 SO The closest comparison for Deadpanda would be Spider Panda, as both played their rookie season atter the most recent sliders change. While Deadpanda didn't quite reach Spider Panda's save percentage, they still provided some quality goaltending for a strong team. With possibly back-to-back ROTY goaltenders and Red Panda already being one of the league's top goaltenders, the pandas are really taking over the VHL. I bet lemorse is really happy about that. The top scoring rookie forward last season was Brendan Petan Jr @sadie with 27 goals and 47 assists for 74 points with plus-4 rating, 136 hits and 62 blocked shots. Among the ROTY winning forwards in the hybrid era, 74 points would rank 4th out of total 9. That's actually more impressive than what I initially thought before starting to write this, so I might be way off with my take. Still, I need the 6 capped and I think Deadpanda would still win the award. As for the top scoring defenseman, Narnia Shaw @Dabnad took the first place with 8 goals and 44 assists for 52 points with a very impressive plus-50 rating on a fantastic Malmö squad, 39 hits and 97 blocked shots. Really impressive offensive numbers, but the defensive part of the game doesn't seem to be there just yet. Which brings me to my two dark horses. These are two defensemen who could have a shot based on their really strong defensive performance. Dark horse 1: Slava Kovalenko @OblivionWalker Slava Kovalenko did something really impressive: he was second in blocked shots. Not second among the rookies, but second among all players, with insane 232 blocks to go with 118 hits. The minus-38 rating doesn't look good for someone whom I'm praising for their defense, but Warsaw wasn't a good team, which is obviously reflected in the plus-minus rating. If a goaltender with losing record can win the ROTY, why a minus defender couldn't? 17 goals as a rookie defenseman is really impressive as well. 17 assists isn't spectacular, but someone has to score a goal for a player to record an assist. And once again, Warsaw wasn't great. Dark horse 2: Alagsantere Groenvold I've never thought I'd throw in my player's name as a ROTY consideration. But I'm really surprised with how well he did. Just like with Slava, the plus minus rating minus-57 looks brutal on what's supposed to be a defense-first defender. But London is another team in early stages of a rebuild. Santy finished three places behind Slava in blocked shots league-wide with 202, along with quite remarkable 189 hits. He also added a bit more offense than Slava with 13 goals and 35 assists for 48 points, the second highest point total among rookie defensemen. Will we see the Stolzschweiger Trophy awarded based on defensive play? Highly unlikely, but it would be cool to see.

Hope it's nothing serious with the kid, VHL can wait

My idea was to make him as old as the NHL is, and include every single trade with future considerations in the biography, saying he was tired of being trader all the time. So he decided to join the VHL in hope to play at least a few seasons without being traded.

Noooooo you stole the idea for one of my future players, I was looking forward to writing the biography so much Welcome back! Also I can see the draft class switch hasn't been pushed, sorry it's me who bothers you guys @Josh @Beketov @Acydburn again

To be honest, if “trade deadline” was the theme week even a season ago, it would probably be the first time I’d skip it (don’t take this too seriously, I say stuff like “this may be the first time I skip it” every season, and I have yet to do so). But as it happens, this was also my first trade deadline as a general manager. Which opens the possibility to lazily earn the six uncapped simply by re-visiting trade proposals both coming my way and coming from my side, and give my view on them. The first proposal came very early in the season rather than in the deadline week, but I’ll include it nonetheless. Mexico was offered picks for a depth forward, which I rejected. At that time, we had 7 forwards (one of them close to IA), 2 defensemen and a goaltender on the roster. All of the forwards have at least one season of term left, and the whole core should be over 200 TPE for the next season’s playoff run. The only way we’d trade one of them away would have been for a defenseman, or the other team would have to overpay – which they were not willing to do. The second time I’ve got engaged in trade talks was when an elite forward on one of the heavyweight teams was days away from going IA. Said heavyweight team at that time was in the position to trade one of their defensemen, so that’s what I’ve offered – a forward for a defenseman, balanced by picks in case said forward doesn’t update. They did update, so we didn’t re-visit the trade talks again. I shut down the third trade proposal on the spot. One of the better teams was looking to reinforce their blue line, and was looking at one of Mexico defensemen. However, even though we’re really aiming to go for it in S98, I had said we’re not folding this season, and said defenseman is a huge piece of our team, on top of being the team captain. The member had also said they would like to stay in the M for one more season as a 350+ TPE player, and there’s absolutely no way I’m trading away re-sign discussion rights of the face of the franchise. The next trade talk was really just me kicking the tyres rather than serious negotiations. I was looking for a third defenseman, mostly to reduce the ice time of a bot defenseman who has to cover any time one of the Mexico defensemen goes in the box. I wasn’t able/willing to offer much, so I had set my eyes on a defenseman turning FA this offseason on a re-building team. However, the team’s GM wanted to retain discussion rights with said defenseman (just like I wanted in the previous point) unless I offer too much for them to refuse. It was a short, pleasant talk with a team with bright future. The last trade I had my eyes on was what would be perceived as a lateral move and more of a locker room move. However, this may very well be an offseason move, so I wasn’t even mad when the GM didn’t respond – the message is probably in their message requests, not in their DMs. I didn’t push it, as it was really just hours away from the deadline, I’ll let the GM know immediately after the playoffs end to try to finish this move as an offseason trade or a draft day trade. With the trade deadline behind us, and a waiver defenseman already joining us, this is a group we’re rolling with into the playoffs. We may not be the favourites, but I like the squad, and a first round upset wouldn’t surprise me at all. Good luck everyone!

@Knight If you do what Sadie says It would take care of the draft class. However, your previous player would be David David, not David Rashford, so you would lose the carryover TPE from Rashford. You can also unretire Rashford, then retire him on Monday. But a) I'm not sure if that's even possible when you have already created a new player and b) Rashford would get a TPE penalty, as per the VHL rules, section 13.2. As this is a non-typical situation with the cutoff not being immediately after the deadline and this is obviously an honest mistake, not some plot or circumvention attempt or whatever, the blues might be able to adjust your player's draft class and base TPE. @Josh @Beketov However, to be brutally honest, it is clearly stated here that the cutoff is on Monday: Honestly, if it's not possible to adjust the draft class and base TPE, I'd say just bite the bullet and roll with it, rather than lose Rashford's carryover TPE.

Skalice (derived from skála - a rock; now called Stříbrná Skalice), Talmberk (now a part of the town of Samopše), Sázava (which is also the name of the river Sázava which gives the name to the whole region - Posázaví) and Rataje, yup. I grew up a bit downstream from that, about 40 kilometers from Sázava.

Definitely. I literally grew up in Posázaví, the region where the games take place Vávra really nailed the game world design.
