Welcome man. Fun place to be. Great community. You'll enjoy it here if you enjoy these type of sims. I don't even like hockey IRL, and I'm here.. fully pulled in.

bugged box score? https://vhlportal.com/vhlm/85/VHLM85-Farm-24.html

Big start for my boy Antoine. Only up from here.

Yeah no worries I wasn't dogging it just was like that's a weird design choice. Makes more sense now. The forums massacred my TPE graphic this week due to sizing restrictions.

NGL it's helpful, but you block out half the screen?

Sass With Stras Press Conference Thread
CrookedAnt replied to Phil's topic in Player Press Conferences
1. From the grimy streets of Italy had to puck it out with the local thugs in the rink for glory. 2. I just want to win. I'd like to be a cruical part of a big 3 type situation if they have those in hockey. 3. No pressure. I am a Hofer in my heart. 4. He is. I have zero clue who that is, but it's fun to hate. Strasmore is a bust. 5. Las Vegas Aces cause they drafted me. If talking actual VHL the Wolves cause they have a sick name. Member, Jacob/Lemorse/Chief 6. 100 pushups, 100 sit ups every day. -
I made a cool graphic, but everything got compressed af when I resized it cause it was too big for forums at 600x600. I can provide a better link if it isn't up to par for updaters, but I'd like to use this graphic as my claim if it works. r

Antoine Barksdale is a prospect fresh out of Italy. He made headlines in a local tournament in an Italy park game for a small mini park tournament, and that landed him in talks with some teams. The team's offices offered to fly him out on their dime to talk about potential deals, and ways for him to get drafted into an entry level league. First they sat him down, and he went through meeting process. He had to fly back, and forth between the meetings to finish competing in the Junior Showcase with the Brigade where the eventually won, and that got him put on the Las Vegas Ace's radar. Strengths being his ability to pass, score, and speed across the ice. He is a unique two way sort of build, and while he didn't flash out with the sixteen to twenty minutes a night he made an impact, and scored game winner after game winner in the JST to close games out in the group stage of the playoffs for his team. He is an absolute unit at six eight, and two hundred fifty pounds being an unmovable, and fierce force when driving the puck towards the opponents goal. His ability to pass allows his teammates to shine, and highlight their strengths for higher contracts. His weaknesses include he is a bit too fast for someone his size, and can't slow down at will. He lacks finesse on the ice, and his stick handling is weak at the moment. Once he gets a bit better control hopefully the forward will figure out his qualms in the rink. He can get back on defense, but lacks the prowess what to do when he is in right position. All things that will be hammered out in the season, but could be a bit alarming as the GM that drafted him. Another telling factor in his story is that the Brigade won in six games. It wasn't an easy sweep despite being up three, and zero on the enemy team in the finals. The Clue forced them to fight for the trophy they hoisted, and it may show a lack of control when big game moments come around. Can Antoine be calm, and cool in the clutch, and close out games? He has the offense to hit game winners, but will he be able to defend the final drive to the net? Or rely on his teammates to catch his slack?

"Signing a minimum deal wasn't the worst deal it could ever had as I was a undrafted prospect from Italy, looking to make an impact in a sport that's vastly different from my home country. Make some extra dollars, and relax for a bit while I map out my route if hockey doesn't pan out was my plan, but I'm glad I was able to ice up, and hit the rinks. The Brigade was extremely welcoming, and we had a great bunch of scorers. Lotta guys that I won that tournament with ended up getting drafted ahead of me, and I couldn't be prouder of any of them. Dixon, St. Louis, Womp- they were all forces to winning. I contributed early on in the beginning, but as the tournament progressed.. I picked up some minor injuries from fights on the ice that held me back from playing to my full potential. I'm hopeful that after I rehab before the season that I'll come back stronger, and be an impactful force for the Aces. The Aces have welcomed me with open arms. Taking me a bit lower than I'd like to have to go, but I understand the defense specialists were needed, and that you can't alway's get what you want. What I do want, is to be a dominant force on that ice night in, and night out. I want to show out, and bring a storied three-peat to this franchise. To be part of winning a championship like that.. well, man. It would just be special, you know? Something to cherish forever. I've already proven I'm capable of winning at a lower level, the Junior Showcase- so let's see where the VHLM brings us."

Jacob is a really cool, and swell dude. I have no interest in managing, but this is a really cool opportunity to learn under someone awesome.

1. A new season is coming in fast, what VHL/E/M teams do you think are title favorites and why? Istanbul Wolves, idk I like the name. 2. On the other teams, which teams do you think are heading into rebuild mode and what do they need to do to return to competitiveness? Whoever won last. They were too good, and need to restructure clearly. It just won't work out this season. 3. Are they any television shows you're looking forward to watching this fall? The rest of Resident Alien, and the rest of The Rookie (final season I think?) 1. What did you do this summer? 2. What do you enjoy outside of the forums? 3. How are you enjoying the VHL so far?

Bruh wtf this looked way different in photoshop.

Following the Brigade's win of the Junior Showcase, Antoine Barksdale was seen in Maui, relaxing.

Welcome. The community here is awesome, and hope to see you around on the ice.

I, Antoine Barksdale am an idiot who can't figure out how money, or earning points works so ya know I was wondering in the snow ridden wasteland that is VHL, and was just walking around doing some buffoonery you know, and I stumbled upon these two nice Gents named Spartan, and Josh who resolved my issues with ease. I was in debt, and STRUGGLING with my hockey career before these two saviors popped out of the snowy forest tree line, and offered to ease my woes with their slick talking, and quick ways. They were fast on their feet, and before you knew it I had stacks of cash, and packed on at least fifteen pound of muscles for the season. Truly the best hockey crew I ever done had seen. Ain't nothing like it. Also the best updaters, but that's just me trying to shmooze the team. No, but for real the VHL operational team is insane, and thank you for the support in these trying times for TPE grinders.

"I'm not trying to talk hot about our team, or success too much here- obviously in the tournament the bunch of standouts on Player Tryout Contracts that the Brigade signed were worth it. A temporary loss of cash for them for a big influx of talent. However.. that's also going to bite them in the ass. They can't draft all of us, and they've got some serious competitors on this squad. I hate to say it, but I'm going to miss some of these guys hitting the rink with me, and having some brewski's after the game. It's like being with the boy's back home at Italy. The team feels like a family, and we're all there to support one another once we hit the ice with those skates. A win loss of six to two right now we lead the tournament in wins. There were a few bad games recently. Your boy, me personally went goalless for the first time in a bit, and I'm just here to say that, I personally won't allow that to happen again. I have to be better. Sadie Louis was playing their ass off, and I really let the team down. I'm all for taking personal accountability here."
