    1. It would definitely be a push in the right direction. Any help is good help.

    2. Forward, someone who can produce offensively.

    3.  No, only in the VHL.

    4. Probably Enemy by Imagine Dragons

    5. Can't complain, nothing has really happened so far.

Frustration. Complete and utter frustration. No matter what he did, he just couldn’t get going. He had tried being patient.

“It’s a new league, I’m just getting used to it,” he had told himself. “Everyone else already has experience, of course you’re going to fall behind.” He just couldn’t take it anymore. It had been eating away at him little by little every day, every lackluster game. He started to feel like he was useless. If he couldn’t help the team, what good was he? Fourteen games played in the VHLM, only two points, with a minus seven plus-minus. He took a moment to breathe, fourteen games really wasn’t a long time, especially for a rookie. Wait, was he even a rookie? Did this count as a pre-rookie season or something like that? He should probably ask somebody about it.

Nevertheless, it was still a short time and he was new playing against people who already had experience in that league. He had just been contacted by the Royals of the VHL Junior Showcase Tournament, wanting to see if he could play. He signed up without a moment of hesitation, surely he would make up for everything here.

    VHL Junior Showcase Days 1-2:

And to think things were looking up. Here he was playing against people who were at least in a similar situation, new to the league. While some had been there longer than him, everyone should be on at least similar footing. Right? Even here he couldn't produce. He really tried too, he was giving it everything he had, trying to compensate for his time in Mississauga. He just couldn’t get his footing anywhere it seemed. A total of minus four in four games played here, no points. It was really getting to his head, he was losing confidence in himself day after day.

    “Just one.” He pleaded.

    VHL Junior Showcase Day 3:

Good things come to those who wait. The first game of the day against Team Clue was poised to be just as a lackluster performance as ever for him with a minus two. It was a tied game headed into overtime. Then a shootout. He wouldn’t be one of the first three shooters, so again he thought that was that. Team clue scored in round one, Royals in round two, and went to sudden death after round three. Both teams scored in round four, and now, apparently, he was up. Even with Team Clue not scoring, he still felt the weight of the world on his shoulders skating out to center ice. He took a breath, and he went.
In front of the net, he deked forehand, backhand, forehand– and watched as the puck floated over the goalie’s pad and in. Relief. Is what he felt while his teammates swarmed him and celebrated.
The second game was less eventful, but game three against the warriors, with his mental barrier seemingly broken, he finally had the game he was looking for. A short handed goal, and an assist on the powerplay. Sure, they’d lost that game, and obviously that was disappointing, but he felt liberated. No more doubt, he had just proved to himself he can play at this level and hold his own. Grazie Dio.

    1. Yeah its felt pretty long.

    2. I've got no idea at all, I'm not 100% sure where I lie in the draft ranking atm so I think its a toss up.

    3. Offensive stats, I need to be able to produce more.

    4. San Diego sweeps, you heard it here.

    5. Lmao nope, I had to work

    6. In N Out and it isn't even close. (No I'm not biased shhh)

    1. It stings, but it wasn't unexpected. I haven't been with the team for very long, but that slump towards the end of the season wasn't the best.

    2. Again, haven't been in the league too long, didn't do anything remarkable in that time.

    3. I've mainly just been figuring out how the league works and how best to improve.

    4. Frankly just being able to get better as a player.

    5. Pretty nice, hanging out with family was nice after a year in college.

    6. Please dear god can we have a year were its somewhat normal and no BS happens? Like can we do that?

With the commencement of the VLHM Founder's Cup playoffs also came the beginning of the end of the Hounds season. Having just barely squeaked into the playoffs with a five game losing streak at the end of the season, their early departure from the playoffs really came as no surprise. The late arrivals of Jasper Davis and Francesco Mancini brought a glimmer of hope, though even with Davis' near point per game performance the Hounds could not pull it together and continued to nosedive even into the playoffs. It was no help that they faced the San Diego Marlins, who had not just been excellent throughout the season, but ended with a record of 8-2-0 in their last 10 games.

Logan Foley was the leading point scorer for the Hounds with 97 in the regular season, and was also the leading goal scorer with with 42. Austin Goulet led the team in assists with 62 on the season.
    Goaltender Maius Wagner obtained 29 wins with a .908 SV% with a 3.5 GAA.

While a high draft pick will undoubtedly help the hounds, Davis and Mancini are entering the VHLM draft and may not be returning to Mississauga next season. The Hounds future lies in the outcome of the upcoming draft, for better or for worse.

    1. Nothing is insurmountable in my opinion, but this is... quite hard to surmount.

    2. Mexico City Kings

    3. Team success, as long as the team plays well, I'm happy.

    4. Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar, "Italian" dressing is heresy.

    5. Los Angeles Kings

    6. Leon Draisaitl, the butter to McDavid's bread.

    1. I might be a little biased but I think so. Jasper is already proving to be a critical player, with a goal every game so far.

    2. I'm sure it would be. Facing a team similar to us I'm sure would be beneficial in the playoffs, should we make it.

    3.  I can't say I've been here long enough to say, though our chemistry has been promising.

    4. So far, graphics, though thats... the only one I've done.

    5. Yes, honestly I'm the type of person to wait until the last minute. Very happy I didn't.

    6. Never had it, can't have an opinion on it really.
