Rome Gladiators Press conferences

1. I would do a mix of both. Get what I can from the draft, and then trade for good players too. 2. Well it was a high scoring season, and a lot of team members came out with a high point average. 3. Yes I am in school. I am taking English, Psychology and Biology. Next Semester I begin my Primary Care Paramedic Dual Credit program. 4. I'm not recreating, I still have like 4 seasons ahead. 5. Yes we have been doing really good (Phoenix) and I'm super excited to get to play with them. 6. I got nothing for ya. Sorry. -

Trade Alert... The Rome Gladiators have made a trade with Cologne. This trade involved giving Cologne Ivan Ivanov, in exchange for a prospect from Cologne. This was an expected trade, but at the same time unexpected. One might believe that the Rome Gladiators would have wanted a goalie out of this trade, especially a player at 400 TPA. After a few simulations with the Cologne Express, it is quite clear that Ivanov is scoring less points with Cologne then he was with Rome. This is quite a dilemma, scoring less goals with a better team. Maybe the match ups are harder, opposing defense is a lot stronger? Ivanov has already made 3rd star one or two times since starting his stint with Cologne. The times where Ivanov made a game star position, he only had like 1 point (0 goals and an assist.) Clearly the more competitve matchups are made up of less scoring, likely slower paced defensive based games. Ivanov has officially reached 400 TPE, and will be at about 410 at the time of writing this article. Ivanov finished his 24 game Stint on Rome with 40 points, that's almost 2 points per game! Now, 8 games into his stint with Cologne, he is struggling more with only 4 points. What could Ivanov and the rest of Cologne due to improve this performance? Maybe we need to play harder on offense? Pass the puck around more to avoid opposing defense? I think this could all be investigated. Cologne is currently sitting in second place, 32-14, looking strong. We have been sitting in second place for a chunk of the season now. Cologne is looking to maintain this position and go hard into the playoffs, especially coming out of a more rough season. We want to fight hard, get that good playoff seed and play a worse team. As we would likely be seeded against a worse team (Correct me if I am wrong here), #2 plays #4 etc, we would have a lot of luck in the playoffs. Especially if we maintain our current momentum. Cologne Express goes into the next sim, at the time of writing, on a streak of 2 wins. It would be awesome to come out with a streak of 4 wins. Cologne's next two games is indeed against Ivanov's old team, the Rome Gladiators. This will be a pretty easy game for Cologne, but an emotional game too. Ivanov will be competing against his old teammates, seeing his old coach that gave him the opportunity to perform and score many points. Ivanov went through a lot with Rome, playing with them in the S94 playoffs looking to win it. Maybe, being back in an Arena with the old fans will give him the encouragement he needs to maintain 1 point per game. Is it the atmosphere he misses? Or is it just very good opposing defense. I can't wait to see this in the next game. Plus, Ivanov has 400 TPE now and will be going up to the VHL at the end of the season.

Doing this PC as it appears none of my current teams have one. 1. I'll most likely look into it, but I just want to get my 12 cap first. 2. I honestly think it's the lack of goaltender. Maybe the defense slacks quite a bit, but a goalie could certainly help. 3. Avoid going inactive. Try and earn as much as you can. That was one of my mistakes. 4. Well I don't think there's a big eye around Rome right now, I feel like the fan base is focusing on teams higher in the standings. 5. I think that maybe Rome will trade for a Goalie, who knows. 6. I think activity and experience is the most important in a GM. -

Well, I thought it would be a good time to have another review of the Rome Gladiators and our performance. Ivan Ivanov almost coming up to 2 points per game, with 16 games played and 27 points! I'm really happy with Ivan's performance, I think despite being on a team that is struggling, individual players are still doing quite good. Rome lacks a goalie, which is certainly the reason we are struggling this season. Not only do we have to depend on one AI goalie, but we have to depend on two due to the backup requirement. I think this season will be a bit rough, and I'm hoping we can make a claw back for Ivan's last season in the VHLE. Ivan will be going to the Chicago Phoenix next season. Chicago are a very strong team, with a position in second place in the NA and a strong record of 21-10. Chicago also maintains a point different of +22, whereas the Rome Gladiators have a point difference of -100. We can only hope that Ivan can win a championship with Chicago!

Well. I thought I would review something I find interesting. So, we are now 24 games into the VHLE season. Currently, my team, the Rome Gladiators, sits in last place. Oddly enough, despite sitting in last place, everyone on our team besides one player, is averaging one or more points per game. I think that the struggle with the team is our defense, because maybe we score a lot of points but we obviously aren't doing well at preventing points from being scored on us. We have 59 goals for, while about x3 against us. This is a clear indication that we are struggling in terms of the balanced side. Reviewing the forward lineup, we have one top player near the 400 TPE cap, at 384 TPE (myself) and someone right below at 280 TPE. Logically, this could be more of an offensive problem then a defensive issue. We have two 300+ TPA defensive players, which are nearing the 400 TPE cap of the VHLE. Additionally, we have to depend on bots for some lines (I believe) as we only have two players on defense. That would be 2 players playing the same 4 lines. Picking up some defensive players either through Free Agency or the draft could potentially help the Gladiators moving forward. Seeing as the gladiators are struggling, in a last place position, it could be assumed that the draft lottery will work in the favor of the gladiators. Reviewing Existing Prospects: Rome already has many existing prospects on the team, that will be playing soon. Two have even exceeded the 200 TPE rule and are about to hit 400, without even getting a chance to play for Rome! Straight from the VHLM to the VHL, eh! We have a few very good defensive players that will be coming up in the off-season to play for us. They are already at around the 200 TPE point, and hopefully when the rollover occurs they have banked some extra TPE that they can use as soon as they get called up, thus being ahead of others. Player Review, Ivan Ivanov: Now with the overall review of how our team is doing so far, I would like to move on to review how my player Ivan Ivanov is doing. Ivan, like his teammates, is currently averaging over one point per game. Unfortunately Ivan started late this season as he was a free agent during the beginning of the season (I wasn't very active!). But now Ivan is back with Rome and ready to carry the team in his last season before going to the major leagues. This season, Ivanov sits at 8 games played and 11 points scored. 5 of those were goals, 6 of those were assists. One thing that I would like to highlight with these statistics is that Ivanov is currently on a +/- of minus 9. Overall, the +/- of the entire team as well is not good. This individual indicator shows the inconsistent with the defense and offense. We need to work on our scoring, and become better on both sides to become more balanced.

1. I'm just happy to be back with Rome for another season and my player is putting up some good stats. 2. I think it shows that maybe our goaltending lacks. 3. Well, they will be taking my spot as I leave to the VHL. But I hope they carry on this team to victory! 4. I think that our offense is fine, taking into account the above 1 point per game average. We need to build up on goaltending and defense. 5. I think that I should leave it up to the coaching staff. 6. We need to abduct a goalie and force him to sit on the bench as backup. Period. -

1. This competition is different from others because we are all trying so hard. Most of us are trying to play our best in order to get called up faster, but some also had a slow start and are doing their best to avoid being called back down. 2. No they have never tried to be a goalie, and they never will. They would be terrible. 3. Well, I'm focused on me. And I'm locking in to max earn. Unfortunately I will be getting called up to the VHL the end of this season (Hopefully lol.) But technically because I've only been like 30 TPE away from the VHL, I'm like the top in the VHLE right at the ceiling. But now I need to break that ceiling and go beyond my strength. 4. Honestly man, I've not been paying attention to the prospects. I just joined the team a day ago and will be leaving soon. 5. Because it has awesome tourism attractions and I get to enjoy specially crafted pizza and pasta. 6. My personal goals for this season is to lock in, hit 400 TPE and max earn for the 5 seasons I will be in the VHL. I also won't get any regression so I can enjoy 5 seasons of max earning and make it near the top in the VHL. -

1. It seems like a nice city. I haven't really been out exploring much, though. 2. My goals this season is to try and be a little bit more active. Maybe some PC's here and there. 3. I think that there should be a vote, but the management should vet like 3 players that will be in the voting pool. That way the management will be happy with the captain either way. 4. No I do not. 5. My go to pregame meal is some Lasagna with a protein shake. 6. Edmonton will be winning the 2024 Stanley Cup.

1. With one week of sims down, is the team performing as you’ve expected? Yup. Team is playing quite bad, I guess it might be because of the rebuild era. 2. Who do you predict will be Davos’ MVP this season? I honestly can not make such a prediction. Who knows. Hopefully someone who really deserves it. 3. What are your thoughts on our current prospect pool? Well, it's the best prospect pool. Simply because I'm in it! 5. What is your most controversial VHL opinion? That the HC Davos Dynamo suck, because of whatever a rebuild I guess. We are the worst team in the VHL, no offense. 7. What sports do you enjoy watching besides hockey? I like watching some Baseball too, but frequently it gets boring. 8. What was the last video game you played? The last video game I played was F1 2023. I have it through PS Plus on my PS5.

1. I would describe as "amazing" 2. Assists of course. I love getting assists. Free pts. 3. I believe that defense contributes heavily, but at the same time offense is responsible for how much we score. 4. It's cool but at the same time makes it overcomplicated. 5. I don't really know enough to say anything. 6. Baseball, of course. Baseball during the summer and hockey when hockey is on.
-
1. I think it's because teams in the EU have been making better roster picks, and decisions when it comes to roster management. 2. I think that the Dynamo have been doing pretty good and should try their best to keep up the pace for the rest of the season. 3. Well right now, mine is not similar to anyone lol. I need to wait to get my reroll during the offseason. 4. Honestly, how active they can be, if they are willing to max earn every week, etc. 5. I am in two other sim leagues, SBA and ISFL. 6. Calgary Flames by a mile. They are selling this season and are off to a horrible start!

Recap of game #222: Mexico City Kings VS Las Vegas Aces. Final: 2-5 Win for Las Vegas Aces. This game was a landslide for the Las Vegas Aces, they wiped the Kings out of the rink. Bric Sheithaus was a top player in this game, scoring 3 assists out of the 5 goals the Aces scored. Las Vegas was able to convert on all of their powerplays, while successfully killing every penalty they took. Both goalies played pretty good games, with very close scoring percentages. Nate Telker Jr - 0.848% and Hugo Boss 0.867%. This was overall not a very interesting match.

The Ottawa Lynx have made an absolute comeback from last season. Last season, we finished in last place in our conference on the standings and did not make the playoffs. But, this season, we are on a very good mid-season point holding first place in our conference. My player Ivan Ivanov has been doing some decent stuff. I've averaged nearly 1 point per game, 38 points in 42 games. The Lynx performance is because of everyone on the team coming together and working hard, to do very good. I am expecting that the Lynx can maintain our place in first, and finish the regular season first in our conference. We are set to have a very good playoff run which is very exciting. As long as Ivanov and our entire team can maintain our amazing performance, we should be able to win the championship this season!! My prediction is that we will win and destroy every other team we face. No questions asked. If we don't win the championship, I'm gonna be very very surprised. So as they all say, let's Pray to the sim gods for fairness in the playoffs. (191 Words)
