1.With the season coming to a close, what do you hope to accomplish before the season ends?
  "...Raise the cup, honestly. It'd be such a move to hoist the cup. But even if I don't hoist the cup, I've already accomplished so much more than I ever expected to. I'm here, and I think that's enough cup or not." 
 

2. Is the Founder's Cup a two horse race between Ottawa and us?
  "...I really want to talk shit but I'm not going to and jinx the hell out of us." 
 

3. What teammate had been the most  have been the most underrated?
  "I don't hear a lot about Skilton, Shelby, or Reingard. They're all really solid and good players. And...Skilton's cute so he gets a pass."  
 

4. What team are you looking forward to playing in the playoffs?
  "Saskatoon, for...reasons." 
 

5. What is a hobby outside of hockey that your player enjoys?
  "I like reading, video games, normal Gen Z things, I guess. Ironically enough I collect Hockey Cards--Don't. Don't ask how many of myself I have just--just don't worry about it. I just want to make sure they get my likeness correct--" 
 

6. With the NHL Playoffs underway, who is your pick to win it all?
  "I was born in Toronto, but I enjoy this thing called sanity. So the part of me born under Maple Leaves is rooting for Toronto, but the sensible part of me is rooting for the Oilers. I think my Agent is a Kraken fan, but...we know...we know how that went."

  "It feels really good that I'm not the only new guy on the team anymore. It's less...isolating, if that makes sense. Not that I feel isolated, its just a me thing. I"m just excited to have someone else who's new on the team."

  "I think it's better for longevity, but honestly I just play the game. Logistics are for...everyone else but me, if that makes sense."

  "...What else were we supposed to do? Steroids? I think we've been playing extremely well and we're currently top of the league--I think. Let me check." Robin Sierra proceeded to google the standings. "Second. We're second. Which is still good, and I'm happy with how the team and I have played."

  "Honestly no clue. I forgot trade deadlines were happening and totally didn't keep up with it."

  "I got hit by a car in the parking lot going into practice once. I was more mad I got hit by a Ford, but then the next day I couldn't walk. So."

  "I'm rooting for Dogwood, personally. Don't tell him I said that though."
 

6. Alexandr Novotny @Patrik Tallinder has been racking up the assist. How important has his passing ability been to the team?
  "It's been immensely helpful on the ice. It adds a dynamic aspect to our offence, which I really like."

  "There's a lot, actually. This being my inaugural season in the VHLM has been special, I've been enjoying that part, but I've enjoyed being apart of this team. I've really enjoyed finding my footing while everyone else is at the start of the season. That's probably been the highlight for me."

  "Coachella Valley Firebirds."

  "NHL Trade Deadline, I'd say."

  "There's this little restaurant called 'Broth House' in Halifax that's really good. I have to get the team out there one day."

Thanks! Every part of this is hand-made. Here's a version with all the layers separated:

 

  My thing with the Halifax logo is that imo the colour theory would be off. To counteract this, the city you see in the breakdown is Halifax. It's also where Pier 21 is located, granted you can't see it in the finished image. 

  Also, with Sierra's signature, I took a lot of inspiration from Seattle Kraken's announcement of Vince Dunn agreeing to terms, and that includes his player signature (for like jerseys and pucks and stuff), and I thought that would be really cool for Sierra to do. 

  The font is called "Black Junkiest" btw

The VHLM draft took place this past Saturday afternoon and Halifax drafted 10 players!  We also added Robin Sierra @ethanjaeda on waivers and traded for a goalie, Samuel Wazinski @samthemancub, in the offseason to compliment our 1 returning player John Season @dylanjj37.  What are your thoughts on the roster going into Season 93?  And is there one player that you're looking forward to being teammates with?

 

2. The VHLM awards also happened this past weekend, and while none of our players claimed any hardware, we did have at least one nominee from last season.  Obviously we want to win the Founder's Cup, but besides that trophy, is there any other that you would really like to win?

  "...Not end up a UFA. I'm sure my agent would agree with me."

   "I don't think a press conference is really the place to theorise where someone is failing because that doesn't do anything besides draw more attention to the issue and pressure them to do better." 

6. Do you think the Halifax 21st have what it takes to win the Founder's Cup in Season 93?
  "We have the passion behind us, so I'm hopeful we've got what it takes to not only make it to playoffs but for one of my team members to hoist the cup this season."

1. How do you feel about your new GM @LucyXpher?
     "I feel hopeful, uh..she seems nice, in every interaction we've had she's been helpful, and unlike others isn't afraid of the fact that I'm a newer player. I'm excited, I feel that I could do a lot on this team and with this current group. I feel good, is what I'm trying to say."
    
2. With all the picks your team has in the upcoming VHLM Draft, what do you feel is the biggest position of need on the team?
     "I feel like I'm...far, far too new to be answering that question. We need players in empty positions, and I have trust in management that they're able to make the best decisions regarding that."  
    
3. With all the new GMs in the VHLM coming in, who do you think is best set up to succeed in the future?
     "Those who are passionate about the game. Those who love the game, those who...have that fire for the game inside of them. I don't think being new has anything to do with it--sure experience can help, but everyone starts out shaky on ice skates. We have to let them make those mistakes without any extra stress of...like, being the 'new' guy. We cannot have good GMs or good players without them being new." 
    
4. How are you spending your offseason time?
     "I read. Stay fit. I hate on the hawks. I play D&D, uh...other TTRPGs like that. So. I nerd out, essentially. I 3d model, too." 
   
5. What pet would you own if it were allowed?
   
     "...Probably an Axolotl? I think you can own those in Ontario but I don't trust myself with one."
