  1. Grantland is ESPN's venting site where they take credit for ridiculous claims and theories because they are ESPN.
  2. Fuck yeah I did a media spot
  3. More on Zamora, Free Agency -97124 For the latest on middling forward Felix Zamora and the bid for his services in the Victory Hockey League, we traveled to the marvelous yet mysterious land of Oregon, where the rivers flow like Pabst Blue Ribbon at a frat party and the women have just enough hair to be detected by the Kansas City Chiefs. In the latest developments, a whopping eight teams have taken interest in vying for Felix’s mostly tapped, yet consistent talents. Ranging from the beginnings of a full rebuild to the odds-on favorite to win next year’s championship, the options seem to be endless for Zamora. After receiving a considerable amount of interest in the honeymoon hours of free agency, Felix realized that teams were interested in signing him to long term deals. And while Felix surely would like to get comfortable in one city and grow with a franchise, he pondered whether just running to a team that “sounded the best” at that moment was really the best career move... even if it meant winning a title. Having been idle with league news and happenings for months, the soon-to-be veteran forward posted on his twitter account last night that he is only interested in signing one-year deals with a franchise. This was the result of him mulling over his options and determining that he would rather slowly acclimate to the new VHL rather than jump into a situation he would hate down the road. Walking into his fourth season with an all-around build that would fit many teams, Felix Zamora has room to grow in many facets of the game. ”His ability to adjust to a team’s needs is probably the biggest reason why teams are so interested in him. They see the need for a ‘face-off’ guy, a ‘two-way’ guy, a ‘special teams’ guy… Felix can be any one of those with relative ease… and perhaps all of them,” one general manager exclaimed. With a price tag that makes the other big time free agents look lofty, it’s easy to see why teams would like a relatively young, dependable and cheap option to boost their franchise. The $2,500,000 dollar question is where does each VHL franchise rank on Felix’s big board? There have been rumors of eight different teams offering him a deal, perhaps more in the near future. We attempted to yank the list out of him, or anything for that matter, but to no avail. “Europe would be exciting to live in; I am a huge traveler in my free time. I would love to stay in Canada though. America would be fun too!” Zamora went on and on, but never really separated one team from another, let alone picking a national or even a conference. He did, however, go on for a bit more about what he was interested in hearing from teams. ”I would like to see what your plans would be for me if I were to join your team. Think of it as an audition for my next contract, one that could span the last four years of my career. I would rather join a team and know my role so I can be the best at it for the entirety of my time in the VHL. The messages from some teammates ranting on about how cool their franchise is are great, but that doesn’t do much for me if I’m stuck with a bottom feeder for the next four to five years,” Felix finished, leaving shortly thereafter. Felix noted during his latest dialogue with league members that he would like to make a decision soon, but that it could take the length of free agency to determine what the best fit might be.
  4. More to come tomorrow on my next Fan 590!
  5. If would incur a conditional statement, but solid win nonetheless
  6. Developing news: Felix Zamora will accept a base salary contract, however only for one year.
  7. Packers lose, Lions lose. If the Bears win tonight we can beat Green Bay next week with our backups
  8. Wing... man? Kesler you got game?
  9. Living only 2 hours away from there, I agree entirely.
  10. To be fair, I have no idea what's going on right now in the league haha.
  11. I have slowly but surely begun my transition back into the league, at least I think, after quite some time away. Not looking for a position (yet) or anything like that, just looking to be a part again. For some reason my player has been seeing a lot of activity the last week or so, which in all honestly has likely been the main reason for my encore. Anyways, enough about me. For free agency I'm not really sure where each teams stands or how they are looking moving forward. You pitches should be about your future and not necessarily about this upcoming season, although that isn't necessarily a bad thing. My build could go a few ways from here and I at least want to get my skating, passing, scoring and puck handling up to 90. I'm also considering building up face-offs in lieu of that. Anyways, personal messages or posting here works. Facebook is incredibly unprofessional (kendrick). Just kidding, but seriously. Toodles, -mgmt
  12. This is pretty accurate for Zamora, Byer and Saeijs.
  13. Felix Zamora - 4 On another note, it might be worthwhile to have someone update this... It still shows my current player as Emerson Byer, who retired a few years ago with 500+ TPE.
  14. I will review my options during free agency and will come to a decision only at that time. Thanks
  15. It's been fun Calgary, thanks for giving me the opportunity to play!
  16. Well considering the last page was basically devoted to him lol... You also said I could call you biased If you could find where Cutler gets himself in trouble speaking about his opposition I would like to see it. I think it's just your (and the league's) perception of him in part because he tore his ACL during the NFC championship game in 2011 and couldn't come back. People called him soft... Tough city lol.
  17. Coming from the guy who over hypes his own starting QB
  18. Having gone to 10+ games this summer, people actually campout overnight to wait in line for seats. and get drunk.
  19. If/when it comes to it, I'd be surprised if Paul Allen didn't get his hands on it... Would probably take ownership and prefer Portland if I had to guess. He already has the Trailblazers there and could just tack onto the lease at the Rose Garden which already has Winterhawks games... they could just move across the street to the Vet I'd imagine. Seattle would be a completely different beast. Plus then I get to watch an NHL team locally
  20. Battlefield 4 anyone? If you play on PC let me know... Game is intense.
  21. Pretty interesting S20 Riga is third for goals in a season with every other team on that list S10 or earlier but one #tootingmyownhorn
