Season 75 was one of the deepest draft class in the league and many teams managed to get their hands on some pretty good players in later rounds. Some other teams managed to get some bust in the first two rounds but what would happen if we decided to redraft the S75 class with the teams selecting in the same order? Some players will get drafted way earlier than back in the days in S75. I also tried to go with position need over BPA which made a few goalies fall a bit.

1.  Los Angeles :  C – Taro Tsujimoto (750)

Tsujimoto would probably have been drafted first overall if the GM player rule wasn’t a thing back in S75. For this redraft, it was a no brainer, Tsujimoto would surely join the Los Angeles Stars

2. Toronto : C – Cabe McJake (713)

At the second place, we have an other obvious pick with Cabe Mcjake, there is nothing to argue here.

3. HC Davos : D – L (689)

To close the podium, we have at the third position the degen lord himself, L.

4. Chicago : D – Scotty Kaberle (657)

That player originally got drafted 11st but there is no way he would fall to the 11st pick with a redraft especially since Chicago lost L in the redraft just one pick before which leaves an empty spot at the defense.

5. New York : G – Sirkants Klamasteris (673)

New York gets themselves forced to draft a goalie with their 5th pick as their starter goalie is in the redraft too. Which is why New York decided to go with a slightly better goalie and not risking ending up with no goalie.

6. Chicago : LW – Addison McLaren (664)

The main reason why Chicago drafted R at 6th was to put L and R together but with the redraft, L is not in Chicago anymore so it makes more sense to go BPA and draft McLaren.

7. Riga : C -  Pistil Stamen (656)

The former 1st overall pick ends up getting drafted 7th overall by Riga

8. Riga : RW – Justin Lose (640)

At 8th, we have a player that doesn’t change his address, Lose will still play in Riga!

9. HC Davos : C – Issau Damoose (620)

At 9th overall, we have one of the biggest steals in the draft with Damoose, exactly what we like to see in a redraft!

10. Riga : D – Jolly Greene Giant (608)

Greene Giant was originally the 2nd pick of the draft, solid choice but after a few seasons, he fall a bit behind.

11. Toronto : G – Rara Rasputin (634)

With Hextall playing his last season and Klamasteris being drafted by New York earlier, Toronto ends up in need of a goalie for the coming seasons and Rasputin is the best available.

12 Riga : G – Thadius Sales (610)

An other draft steal with Thadius Sales, there is now way that this goalie would not get drafted in the first round now, both for his performances on the ice and his good vibe in the locker room.

13. Warsaw : D – Muffbeav (593)

With the 13th pick, Warsaw’s GM ends up having his own player still available so this is an obvious choice, Muffbeav is the pick here.

14. Riga : LW – Dominic Gobeil (601)

At 14th, Riga draft that jerk.

15. Los Angeles : RW – Dan Dan (596)

With that pick, Los Angeles add some more offensive strength to their squad

16. Moscow : G – Kunibuni UnGuri (608)

For the last pick in the first round, Moscow draft a goalie that would probably be their starters for a few seasons.

For the second round, I am not writing any description because I’m starting to repeat myself and I want to finish that media spot before dinner lol.

17. New York : C – Robert Bouchard (592)

18. Helsinki : D- Linus Zetterstrom (588)

19. Warsaw : RW – Artair McCloud (570)

20. New York : G – Artem Tretiak (567)

21. Chicago : D – Chicken Wing (549)

22. New York : LW – Nathan Perry (539)

23. Vancouver : D – Cowboy Prout (542)

24. Prague : LW – Vick Fairchild (539)

25. D.C. : C – Its Gucci (533)

26. Riga : D – Ove Dyrdahl (474)

27. Riga : C – Sheldon Juniper (473)

28. Riga : D – R (461)

29. Toronto : C – Jakob Sosa (460)

30. Vancouver : C -Steve Eso (460)

31. Helsinki : RW – RJ Thatcher (436)

32. Riga : D – Gustav Hjalmarsson (421)

Review:

Never thought as a redraft for theme week, but this was a good ideas. Good write up about the first round, with a few extra selections in the second round. Neat to

see where player would end up and a good refresher for people like myself who don’t pay attention to drafts.

Good media spot all around, bit  messy but good read

Re-draft for theme week alternative reality, nice! Nicely  written, easy to read. Could have added tags next to players' names. I would personally have re-drafted not according to player's TPE, as there are a few questionables with your re-draft, such as New York Americans drafting back-to-back goaltenders (Sirkants Klamasteris at 5, and Artem Tretiak with their next pick at 20) 8.5/10

I have to admit that I went BPA for the second round a bit but now that I look back at it, you are right about the 20th pick, it doesn't make sense

I love this, good accurate information on the players and why’d they be picked where you have them, I also like how you did the re-draft set like today with no automatic GM gets their own player, next time add some pictures or team logos for color, but it was very well done
