A dumb little idea

 

So, in the NHL at the moment there are the preseason games. I have never really paid attention to these in the past. It is cool to see the young guys get a run up in the big leagues and you hear of peoples names scoring goals. It seems like a good way to get the crowd and fans to learn a bit more about the young up and comers. I wonder how this would work with the VHL. If the VHLM, VHLE and the VHL all played in the same comp. Would we see a 100 TPE person snag a goal, would we see a veteran goaler get lit up. I honestly think it would be a fun little experiment.

 

I am not asking for this to be done it was just a thought that I had and I need some TPE before Gustav fires me as Goaler for Davos.

I remember way back when we had one preseason in the VHLM and drama went through the roof...both that season when we had a preseason and the next one when we didn't, and mostly just GMs screaming at each other for no good reason.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing this at all but I don't know how possible it is to throw everyone together in the same league file.

It's honestly not a bad idea. I'm a new player currently and have about 83 TPE. I wouldn't mind playing a couple warm up games against some of the big league players before a season. So far I've only played against players roughly in my own skill range and am kind of interested to see what the E and VHL players can do. Also there's only a few players in the VHL I know the names of and it'd be a good way for us new players to get acquainted with some of our potential future teammates.

Funny I had similar thoughts but to actually make it work you would need teams to follow a guideline for ice a roster for how many preseason games are decided to be played since NHL preseason is about a valuation of the prospects more or trying to find chemistry between new line mates rather then a full bunch of VHL roster players bashing a prospect team. 

 

I like the idea more from the standpoint that my player gets a chance early to learn from experienced players (a carrot to chase) and now as an older player being able to play with players that I might never get a chance to play with due to the rotation of the 8 yr career as we will most likely always be on opposite ends of our careers. Team Bonding from top to bottom in short.
