:s24nya: NEW YORK AMERICANS CAPTAINCY :s24nya:

It's been a pretty crazy offseason to be sure, but Season 82 marks the dawn of a new era here in The Big Apple. General Manager @MexicanCow123 Jordan Tonn and myself are embarking on a new era for the New York Americans. For too long now, this franchise has been a laughing stock in many VHL circles thanks to its lackluster asset management, consistently poor results, and the inability to retain superstars in this league. We aim to change the culture in New York and restore the club's prestige.

With that being said, we are proud to choose rookie @dlamb Vasile Lamb as our new team captain. We couldn't think of a better player to usher in this new era for us. He is a generational talent, and after talking to him behind the scenes, we truly believe he wants to help make America great again!

The first assistant captain is a player who has stuck with the Americans through thick and thin. While others left, he chose to wear the Americans' jersey like a badge of honor. @Webberj Jon Webber is veteran and leader on our team, and we are so grateful to have him be a part of our organization. For that reason, he will be donning an A for us this season.

Our second assistant captain is a player I can personally vouch for as being a stand-up talent both on and off the ice. While he isn't racking up points on the blueline, he is serenading the masses with his beautiful voice and wafting the beautiful aromas in Tarkov, Russia. @Juice Kristof Welch is a born winner and a VHL veteran that will serve as a learning tree for the likes of Lamb, DeGroot, and other up-and-coming superstars for the foreseeable future.

With these three players serving as our leadership group, New York American fans can finally start to be excited again. The franchise has been through a dark time to be sure. And while there will be more growing pains to come in the immediate future, our fanbase should be rest assured that better times are ahead on the horizon. As always, thank you for your time, and God Bless America.
