Meh.. I like Devante, but you don't trade a guy with amazing skills and a huge potential for size. I'm not denying the fact that DSP could help us in the playoff and even play with DD and Patch, but Sekac is and is going to be a WAYYYY better plyer than DSP.

They won't go all the way if we don't get a d-man and a top 6 player. There's no one to play with DD and Patch (could try DSP, but I don't think so..). There's been a loooooooot of talks for Lupul and Petry in MTL, which I would lose my shit if it happens. We hav guys like Eller (god, that guy sucks ass), Bournival, Thomas, Tinordi(please don't let him go), even Fucale. But MB won't trade for rentals, he saw what happened with Vanek and he's done with that. Petry would probably resign in MTL and Lupul if signed until 2018, I think.

I'm extremely pissed that Sekac is gone, but when I look at Sherback, Hudon, Andrighetto, De La Rose, etc.. I'm ok.

I'm uncomfortable having Sekac on my top 6 and he doesn't fit in a bottom 6. DSP is just a better Weise, which I am fine with. Right handed, tons of speed, grit. A perfect fit.

Petry is just not good. I rather have Pateryn at this point. Lupul could be good, too much injury prone for my taste, but his skills are undeniable. And you said it, we just have "better" Sekac in the system but no DSP (-minus Mcarron)

Yeah Petry isn't all that the trade rumour specialists are cracking him him to be. He is a good defensemen but not one that is "sought" after like others to the point you give up big assets for. FBR, if Montreal wants to get to the finals and compete they will need the size of DSP and others because its a tough grind in the postseason. Further more the favourites in the West are all relatively bigger teams so size becomes extremely important.

He won't be playing tonight (of course), but looking forward to see him on the 3rd line. Galchenyuk playing offwing tonight against a really good team. I personally love offwing players, but it seems very hard to play and I don't know if Galchenyuk will be able to perform. He definitely got the tools offensively but the biggest challenge will be in the neutral zone and the defensive zone. Getting those passes on the backhand won't be easy.

I think dsp is actually a perfect fit... great in the playoffs & I think he can develop in to a good 2nd liner or at least a 3rd line presence with a bit of offense.

also lol jake allen is bad

Yeah, you know it's a good trade when fans from both teams hate the trade.

Canucks had a big win today, and Eddie Lack played stellar. Miller gets injured, then Lack stops the rest for that night and goes into Boston to stop another 40+ only allowing 1 goal.

It was a fun game to watch. Galchenyuk played a good game, but I don't think it will last. Well, he could be beast mode but I still think that MT will eventually want him at center. With Parenteau coming back, our right wing will eventually become balanced. Parenteau/Gallagher/DSP/Weise Scratch : Thomas. Parenteau isn't what I would call a 1st line winger but he can complete some plays nonetheless.
