diacope 1,696 Posted June 25, 2022 Author Share Posted June 25, 2022 (edited) VHL 3 on 3 Basket Tournament Day 1 Morocco Moles @ Edmonton Wild Geese Quarter 1 Spoiler Morocco starts off hot with excellent shooting, Breading Bread leading the way and perfect on the three point line Morocco 15 vs Edmonton 11 Quarter 2 Spoiler The Wild Geese find themselves in trouble and give up even more points but the biggest head scratcher was the turnover ratio Morocco 37 vs Edmonton 23 Quarter 3 Spoiler Fixing mistakes and encouraging teammates we see Nalwa put up as many points as he did in the first half and gets his team back in it Morocco 52 vs Edmonton 38 Final Spoiler In the end the Moles and Bread's start was too much for the Geese to handle and even with a excellent finish by Nalwa it wasn't enough. Red Pandas @ Saturn Suns Quarter 1 Spoiler Saturn starts the game slinging and doubles up on the not so ready Pandas who do everything wrong Saturn 29 vs Red 12 Quarter 2 Spoiler The Suns don't take their foot off the pedal and continue racketing up the numbers, making a total of 35 hoops on 43 shots Saturn 53 vs Red 26 Quarter 3 Spoiler Red finally get going offensively and bring their shot total to a respectable amount but miss too many for any change in the game Saturn 73 vs Red 36 Final Spoiler In the end we see a small change of momentum but it was no match for the Saturn Suns who outshot a better shooting opponent VHL 3 on 3 Basket Tournament Day 2 Morocco Moles @ Red Pandas Quarter 1 Spoiler Poor defense by Busser amounting 3 turnovers and no assist around the board and the Pandas find themselves in another hole early in this tournament Morocco 29 vs Pandas 15 Quarter 2 Spoiler Champagne doesn't stop shooting and leads everybody in the first half with 23 points, 3 shots from outside the arc Morocco 44 vs Red 22 Quarter 3 Spoiler Morocco keeps the Red from scoring under 10 for another quarter and amps up their defensive units for a final push in the 4th Morocco 57 vs Red 31 Final Spoiler Out of nowhere a gassed Moles squad gives up the ball and allows the Pandas to score almost the same amount of points in a corner as they did all game Saturn Suns @ Edmonton Wild Geese Quarter 1 Spoiler We have a game folks and the team statistics are close! Edmonton just needs to activate their rebounding before it's too late Saturn 20 vs Edmonton 15 Quarter 2 Spoiler In a desperate attempt to take the lead with a steal we see Nalwa take a bad foul, in the end after a made shot and a miss, Pearce grabs the rebound and finds Sova for an open 3 point basket Wait a minute! It's DeGroot with the ball after a full court hail mary pass and he scores on the layup! He goes for a 3 point attempt after a foul on Pearce and it's a 1 point game! Saturn 38 to Edmonton 37 Quarter 3 Spoiler It's a duel between Sova and Nalwa as both players take almost 100% shots from the point and over half of their total field goals, Nalwa ultimately wins the duel but his teammates do not Saturn 53 vs Edmonton 50 Final Spoiler If the game had more minutes than the Wild Geese would have came back because their defense and offense gave them the momentum but it's a error in the final seconds that ultimately decides the game even after another crazy Nalwa shot WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK AFTER A SHORT BREAK! diacope 1,696 Posted June 25, 2022 Author Share Posted June 25, 2022 (edited) VHL 3 on 3 Basket Tournament Day 3 Edmonton Wild Geese @ Morocco Moles Quarter 1 Spoiler Nalwa puts his team on his back and leads the game in makes but after a last minute surge they end the period down Morocco 23 vs Edmonton 19 Quarter 2 Spoiler Matching the efforts from the Geese it's Bread who keeps his team up and jumps ahead of Nalwa in baskets at the end of the quarter Morocco 42 vs Edmonton 35 Quarter 3 Spoiler In a full team effort it's the Moles who continue to lead and flex their muscle on defense, making it hard for a comeback Morocco 60 vs Edmonton 46 Final Spoiler After Morocco finally tires themselves out, a never stopping Pickle Pines leads the quarter in all areas to get a respectable team score for the Geese but it's way too late and Morocco takes the game easily Saturn Suns @ Red Pandas Quarter 1 Spoiler Starting off we see the Pandas fix past mistakes and get themselves up after the 1st, using rebounding and smart plays to get the ball away from the Suns We see a sudden change in morale after Pearce blocks a three point shot and stops the Red from going up any more points in the final seconds Red 19 vs Saturn 17 Quarter 2 Spoiler In the first crazy events before the end of the second quarter it's shots from all over, starting with a jumper from Leduc, followed by a scramble for the ball and another from Pearce who comes up with the ball after a turnover, poster dunking it on Leduc.. He doesn't give up and comes back to get the points back scoring another jump shot The defense doesn't even try as we see more shot attempts and one that would be costly would be a launch by Sova who gets it over the screen for the tie, we see a couple more attempts but the quarter ends at a draw Red 33 vs Saturn 33 Quarter 3 Spoiler The Pandas don't give up hope and finally activate their defense last in the quarter, at the end we see an excellent block by Busser, rebound and an unfortunate miss by Leduc, they get the ball again and it's good! Red 41 vs Saturn 45 Final Spoiler After an outstanding first half of basketball it was Red who ran out of energy and gave up what could have been their first win, Saturn continues to shoot accurately in the tournament VHL 3 on 3 Basket Tournament Day 4 Edmonton Wild Geese @ Morocco Moles Quarter 1 Spoiler The Moles come out and do it all against a down and out Geese squad, leaving no room for error Morocco 17 vs Edmonton 7 Quarter 2 Spoiler Bread shines in the game during the first half and doesn't seem to want to stop Morocco 33 vs Edmonton 23 Quarter 3 Spoiler Wolanin shows up to the game and adds himself a handful of rebounds after stealing his way through the first half Wolanin again shocks the crowd and passes the ball through the legs of the defender and into an open Champagne at the point for the easy make Morocco 52 vs Edmonton 40 Final Spoiler If Edmonton had a better start this one would have been a lot closer, after a great game though it was the better 3 players who had better performances in Morocco Red Pandas @ Saturn Suns Quarter 1 Spoiler After a back and forth start to the game we see Leduc show Burns whose boss, scoring 5 points during 1 on 1 chances, at the end of quarter it's Leduc leaving no room again and boxing out a frustrated Burns who misses the net badly, potentially lining up a comeback for his team It's not all gravy for the Pandas because after just 6 minutes they get 5 personal fouls and 4 turnovers, defense is needed if they want to get the win Saturn 20 vs Red 14 Quarter 2 Spoiler In one of our closest games during the tournament both teams put in work and get the crowd roaring, mostly by making shots from all over the court Leduc reintroduces himself during the final seconds and makes sure his team has tons of morale going into the second half, after finding his way out of the paint he shoots a step back two for the 3 point lead, Burns has the pressure on him again but fails to score on both foul shots late in the quarter which leads to another chance for the Pandas, Lindbergh's three point shot bounces off the rim! Saturn 37 vs Red 35 Quarter 3 Spoiler The Pandas seem to run into trouble and turn the ball over too many times, resulting in a hole going into the final minutes Oskar has a great go is on his way to a triple triple if he can turn up the heat but he'll need help from another player if wants to get a comeback for his team On the other side of the court it's Pearce who has done the same, the difference for him is time with the ball and a patience line up who scanned everything during this quarter Saturn 51 vs Red 46 Final Spoiler In another devastating loss during the tournament it's Red who cant hold on and obviously eat too much for lunch.. We couldn't keep count of the cramp stops on the scoresheet! Suns fix mistakes and shoot their way to another win STANDINGS Spoiler PLAYER STATS Spoiler SEE YOU TOMORROW, IT'LL BE A LOT EARLIER NEXT TIME! HE SCORES! That's 13 in the quarter! Edmonton 56 vs Red 56 In the end it was the Wild Geese who managed to muscle together another grit and luck inside the paint Saturn Suns @ Morocco Moles Quarter 1 Spoiler It's a good battle between the tournaments best teams but the Moles fine themselves shooting 8 free throws, the only free point chances during the quarter Morocco 19 vs Saturn 13 Quarter 2 Spoiler Every player on the Suns is having a bad game it seems and by the end of the half it's the Moles leading in everything, including player stats Morocco 39 vs Saturn 21 Quarter 3 Spoiler Leading the way and leaving no second chances is the free throw slinger Bread who keeps Morocco's demanding lead going into the final minutes Morocco 59 vs Saturn 31 Final Spoiler In one of our most lopsided games this tournament the Moles dominate in everything against the Suns and aim to the top VHL 3 on 3 Basket Tournament Day 6 Morocco Moles @ Saturn Suns Quarter 1 Spoiler Morocco brings the heat and continues to lay it on Saturn following their win against them last game Morocco 20 vs Saturn 10 Quarter 2 Spoiler Pearce tightens up on defense and grabs a majority of the rebounds, he also was able to grab a few steals Morocco 32 vs Saturn 24 Quarter 3 Spoiler Both teams exchange blows but turnovers and personals become the focal point of the quarter, taking up most of the time and all we hear is whistles Morocco 50 vs Saturn 42 Final Spoiler In the end of an a lot closer game than their last meeting it's the Moles who overcome the storm and find better shot locations Edmonton Wild Geese @ Red Pandas Quarter 1 Spoiler It's a no defense start for both teams with almost no rebounds or turnovers, both teams shoot well in the paint Edmonton 21 vs Red 21 Quarter 2 Spoiler The teams hero Leduc fights for the ball after a good minute of misses and turnovers, he tries for a 2 point chance... HE SCORES! The Pandas take the lead Edmonton 36 vs Red 37 Quarter 3 Spoiler The Wild Geese come back and Nalwa leads the way with 35 of his teams 59 points with 23 of 39 shots Edmonton 59 vs Red 53 Final Spoiler Another push and a few lucky breaks and Edmonton finds themselves leading the way again, of course Nalwa being the only person to take a shot YOU KNOW THE DRILL! Woohoo! Edmonton comes to play in this game VHL 3 on 3 Basket Tournament Day 8 Red Pandas @ Morocco Moles Quarter 1 Spoiler Wolanin dominates the first quarter with an endless supplies of energy and does everything on the court to give his team the lead Morocco 23 vs Red 8 Quarter 2 Spoiler Poor shooting is evident at the 12 minute mark as we see the Pandas miss 23 shots Morocco 36 vs Red 22 Quarter 3 Spoiler In a game where nothing is going right for his team it's Lindbergh stepping up and motivating his team late in hopes to get a break from dribbling Morocco 51 vs Red 32 Final Spoiler The game ends after a respectable quarter but it's clear which team was the best and worst during the seeding stages Saturn Suns @ Edmonton Wild Geese Quarter 1 Spoiler Pearce and Nalwa battle each other in a quarter that ends in a tie Saturn 14 vs Edmonton 14 Quarter 2 Spoiler Edmonton takes over shooting percentage and rebounds while being able to not turnover the ball, with that they take the lead but it could have been bigger if shots went in Edmonton 29 vs Saturn 27 Quarter 3 Spoiler The Suns run into foul trouble during the third quarter but thankfully the Wild Geese cant make a shot and the deficit is only a small margin going into the final quarter of the seeding round Edmonton 44 vs Saturn 40 Final Spoiler The Wild Geese lead for the entire game but right in the end they don't have enough juice and the Suns score 14 more points to come back, lead by the duo of Pearce and Sova who didn't stop shooting and running after the ball STANDINGS Spoiler PLAYER STATS Spoiler Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/123112-vhl-3-on-3-basketball-tournament-1-index-games/#findComment-933589 Share on other sites More sharing options...

After Red take the lead Champagne fights back and even helps his team take the lead but in the end it's Leduc who throws it up for a chance to take the lead and HE SCORES! Wolanin again gets a chance to get the win but he misses and Lindbergh ends the game icing it off on the free throw line The Red Pandas get their first win and against the best to do it in the seeding stage using accurate shooting.. In every statistical column we see blunders but which team will get it together? Suns end the quarter because they had a few more free throw chances but we don't see anything or anybody stick out from this point Saturn 15 vs Edmonton 11 Quarter 2 Spoiler Nalwa is having a night and after the fist half we see 14 makes on a whopping 24 tries towards the hoop, even after some turnovers and fouls Saturn 28 vs Edmonton 30 Quarter 3 Spoiler The Wild Geese fix mistakes from the previous half but out of nowhere the whole Saturn bench runs into turnover and fouling trouble, along with poor shooting on the 3 point line from the tournaments best shooters Saturn 37 vs Edmonton 46 Final Spoiler Just like we predicted from the start whoever was able to make the least amount of mistakes in a funny game was going to be our winner and Edmonton took the lead in all columns VHL 3 on 3 Basket Tournament Day 10/Round 1 GAME 2 Morocco Moles @ Red Pandas Quarter 1 Spoiler In probably our best quarter in the tournament it's Busser who stands tall and accurately scores 20 of his teams 27 first quarter points Red 27 vs Morocco 16 Quarter 2 Spoiler It's a close quarter but looking closer at the team stats it's clear why the Pandas have the lead and added another in the second quarter Red 40 vs Morocco 28 Quarter 3 Spoiler Wolanin doesn't let the first half get to him and comes out dominating the paint and helping his teammates score easy baskets in a huge comeback quarter Red 47 vs Morocco 52 Final Spoiler During a dog fight in the final six minutes we don't see a lot of change after both teams fought back during the game so in the end it's clear the huge momentum loss going into quarter was the decision maker here.. WE WILL HAVE A GAME 3 GAME 2 Saturn Suns @ Edmonton Wild Geese Quarter 1 Spoiler The Wild Geese take the lead late in the quarter with relentless attacks from DeGroot who rebounds and blocks his way to a 2 possession lead Edmonton 17 vs Saturn 11 Quarter 2 Spoiler Team stats looks very similar which should make an interesting second half but fouling could be an issue for Wild Geese Pearce turns up the heat and gets the Suns their first lead of the game but like last quarter.. Who will it be? I'll randomly downgrade a skill with a number generator by 15!
