Arbok vs. Mewtwo leads things off. Arbok unleashes a vicious Crunch, but Mewtwo's Oran Berry mitigates the damage. Mewtwo counters with a Psystrike and Arbok's Leftovers can't mitigate a one-shot! Down it goes. Koga remains expressionless and sends out Weezing.

 

 

Sludge Bomb does a number on Mewtwo, but it hangs on. Mewtwo counters with another Psystrike, but Weezing's tanky body withstands the blow. It eats a bit of its Leftovers and finishes Mewtwo off with Assurance. Gary accepts this and sends out his next pokemon.

Gallade is the first one out, so you use Steelix first. Steelix's first attack isn't very effective, but it's a tank--surviving a 147-damage hit from Gallade and Close Combat. You continue to use Iron Tail, and the random aspect of the fight ends up working in your favor as Gallade switches its attack.

 

Now you have to deal with Jynx, who takes out Steelix in one hit. You respond with Charmeleon...

 

...who gives a powerful attack, but it's not enough for a knockout. Jynx responds with Covet, which doesn't do much, and you're on to the final fight of the tower against Wartortle.

 

You might think that Wartortle would be super effective against Charmeleon, and it is to some extent...but you stay in it and manage to give it a Slash before being knocked out. It's down to your Honedge...

 

...who uses Fury Cutter, and it's not very effective. Wartortle counters, and you stay in the fight as well.

 

You use Fury Cutter again, and it works a little bit better...

She adjusts her heading to the southern sea, to float across the ocean to Cianwood City. Her next encounter is one she had been dreading for some time, but hopes she can pull it off now.

 

Continuing her streak of property destruction, she plows through the gym in Cianwood to confront Chuck, who remains in meditation.

 

Jessie taps him on the shoulder. “Excuse me sir. I’m here to protect the world from devastation?”

 

Chuck opens his eyes, and anime style in the blink of an eye, punches a nearby boulder into pieces!

 

”Hahahaha! Isn’t that the shit?? Wait a minute, who are you? What happened to my damn roof!” Chuck says bewildered.

 

“JESSIE! TEAM ROCKET BLASTS OFF AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT!” No one is around to finish the motto.

 

”Weezing,” Weezing adds.

Jessie will lead against the Machamp with Weezing. It will use Sludge Bomb for its first attack, and Self Destruct on its second attack, which will hopefully knock out the Machamp or else I’m fucked.

 

Zoney Magz will enter next. It will spam Zap Cannon against everything. Reminder that it holds an Oran Berry.

 

Finally, Charizard will come out last. It will spam Air Slash against everything. (though if it’s down to the wire and it looks like I could use an extra 3 damage for a kill, feel free to use Blast Burn )

Gourgeist is not pleased to see it's up against Charmeleon. Flamethrower does a lot of damage, but Gourgeist's Enigma Berry lessens the blow. It counters with a Shadow Ball that knocks Charmeleon below half health. Another Flamethrower is too much though and Gourgeist goes down!

 

 

 

Morty tries to reason with you, but the plea was just a distraction! Gengar comes out of nowhere and knocks out Charmeleon with a Shadow Ball! The Worker resolves himself and here comes Aegislash!

 

 

Aegislash slices away with Night Slash, but Gengar hangs on. Here comes Shadow Ball!

 

BAM!

 

Aegislash gets knocked down!

 

 

But it gets up again.

 

Cuz you're never gonna keep it down thanks to its Focus Sash! Another Night Slash finishes the job, and Morty's down to one pokemon.

 

 

 

Chandelure taps Aegislash with a Dark Pulse and we're down to 1v1. Worker smiles.

 

 

Steelix immediately Digs underground. Chandelure tries to track it, but it's caught unawares and takes the hit. It counters with a Shadow Ball, doing quite a bit of damage, but not enough to really threaten Steelix, especially with Leftovers healing part of it back up. Steelix connects with another Dig, and Chandelure is on the ropes now. It does the only thing it has left to do:

Giovanni says nothing. You both throw out your first pokemon, and it's a Steelix mirror match!

 

 

Giovanni's Steelix leads things off with a strong Dig attack. Nurse Joy smirks and has her Steelix unleash a mighty Earthquake. Concerned over what might happen if an Earthquake might hit while his Steelix is Digging, Giovanni switches to the less effective Stone Edge. They continue to trade blows, but eventually Nurse Joy's Steelix pulls ahead!

 

 

Persian fears not steel-types nor Earthquakes and steps up to defend its master. It Bites on the Steelix and doesn't let go. Another Earthquake shakes it off. A Power Gem comes from Persian but basically bounces off of Steelix. Nearby Architects begin to worry as they weren't expecting so many Earthquakes in such quick succession. Persian manages to stay on its feet and suddenly leaps at Steelix with its claws. A swift Slash is enough to finally knock Steelix out. Nurse Joy is pleased and sends out her Vikavolt.

 

 

Vikavolt smashes Persian with an X-Scissor. Giovanni shows the smallest amount of emotion before sending in his last pokemon: Ivysaur.
