Welcome everyone,

The season has been over for a while now and the playoffs ended last week, so we now entered the off-season. In this tenth episode of « The Bobs legacy, the sequel », we are going to talk about the end of the playoffs, the off-season and the future of Bobby Bob and the Toronto Legion.

In the playoffs, the Rome Gladiators won the wild card series against the Istanbul Red Wolves 2-1 and then they won the semi-final against the Yukon Rush 4-2 to earn their ticket to the final of the Renaissance Cup. In the other semi-final, the Oslo Storm won the series 4-3 against the Cologne Express to join the Rome Gladiators in the final. The final did not end the same way the semi-final ended for the Gladiators, because they lost the first three games of the series, 4-2, 6-1 and 4-1. A couple of speeches and lines changes motivated the Rome Gladiators, and they won the next two games 7-4 and 4-1, but the Storm won the next game 4-3 to win the VHLE playoffs and the Renaissance Cup. After having a really good regular season, Bobby Bob wanted to have the same success in the playoffs. Just like in the regular season, he finished first in points among the defensemen and first in shots blocked in the entire league. He also finished fifth in the league for the number of points with 14 and third in the league in assists with 12.

Bobby Bob showed that he was a dominant defenseman all season long and we may even hear his name in the VHLE awards, but his career in the VHLE is already over. It means that Bob will start his career in the VHL next season with the Toronto Legion. The Legion is a really young team that is getting out of rebuilding and that will try to make the playoffs for the first time since S84. They already have some rising starts on their roster and the future is looking bright in Toronto with forwards like Mac Atlas @v.2 and Jimi Jaks @kelvi, defensemen like Bobby Bob, Tater Tottingham @Trunkxolotl and Jimmy MacElroy @Xflexz and a goalie like Joel Castle.

The Toronto Legion also have a good prospect pool with players like Alexander Stroheim @Stroheim and Timothy Swearingen @Timmy30 and goalies like Ross Glagau @Zetterberg and Evan Bihler @Eb14. In addition, the S89 VHL entry draft just ended, and the Toronto Legion had 7 draft picks (one 1st, three 2nd, two 3rd and one 4th) and they now have an even better prospect pool. In the first round, they selected the forward Montgomery Burns @LastOneUp 3rd overall. In the second round, they drafted Harry Callahan @dstevensonjr, Reginald the Dodo @Esso2264 and Scored SVN Goals in a VHL Game @KitRas. In the third round, Diego Machado @Dadam30 and Caring Bear @thecaringbear were the two players drafted by the Legion. Finally, Andrei Vasilevskiy @Grady loooool was the last player selected by Toronto in the fourth round. Overall, it was a really good draft, and the team management seems really happy with their selections.
