London United vs. Riga Reign

 

The first game of every season is really exciting for the fans, players and the management as they can determine usually as most think within the first few periods of a season if their team has any chance at lifting the Cup at the end of the season or simply should be looking towards the first overall pick the following off season. If you don`t believe me just listen to the Toronto Maple Leafs fans in real life and their media. Okay, Game review!! Right!! London United add during the off season and head into the season as one of the favorites are up against Riga Reign in the first game; which head into the regular season looking to be competitive but most insiders have on the outside looking in.

 

Molly the Cat would open the regular season scoring by scoring their first of the season (wow) assisted by Leonard Triller and new comer Wann Kerr on the powerplay at 16:10 of the first period. Leonard Triller would than make it 2-0 for London at 9:57 of the second period assisted by Lloyd Braun and London looked likely to sail easily to victory. But Riga sad no mate by scoring at 15:35 of the second bring Riga back within a goal when James Marino potted his first assisted by Sax Justice. This would be the final score as London would hang on in a great defensive game for a 2-1 win.

 

Some fans might be concerned from the London side since they should have beaten Riga easily right? Nah, They just got goalied so nothing to worry about but Riga fans on the other hand must have been over the moon as the Reign would at least be competitive this season. Only if they knew what was about to happen next!!
