There is a code that we have for payouts and that is completely different then the code, I had to mess around with it last season with my standings thing

I mean the numbers can be different but I'd assume the formula takes an individuals submissions, calculates there score, then based on said score give an amount of TPE, which is the exact same as what I'm saying. The individual thresholds can be made to be anything

The formula would still have to change to match the tpe payout change

I mean you don't really have to change the TPE payout if you don't want. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean?

We’re already in round 2 of playoffs, just curious if people are liking the bracket and that it’s only one form and done? Or do people like doing it round by round more with multiple forms? I’ve had mixed opinions so if anyone wants to give me some feedback please feel free

On the one hand not having to remember to do each round is convenient, especially since sometimes our rounds can end pretty quickly. However on the other hand it makes it more confusing to look at and if you pick the wrong team in the wildcard you can basically skew the results of your entire bracket and fuck yourself from the get go.

So basically idk, there’s pros and cons.

On the other hand if you missed the first week of the bracket like I did, you now get 0 TPE

I'll be the one who says the opposite and that I like it all at once. The main issue is the tight turnaround with less than 24 hours before the next games start (and less than 48 before Game 3), which if you're not living on the boards, it's easy to miss. And even though AJ's doing spectacular with the timeliness, I don't think it's necessarily fair to make him have to post something same night if the series ends on like later on a Friday or Saturday night.

My pitch might be to split the difference - ignore the Wild Card to give people more time, then do the full playoffs starting with the quarterfinals with a spot for 4/5 advancing throughout like March Madness and the play-in games.

This was one of the main reasons I was iffy about doing one bracket in one go too. I’m sure you’re not the only one who missed out and that doesn’t sit well with me. Wasn’t even your fault for missing - short window to submit the form (opened Wednesday night and closed Saturday, basically only 3 days to do it) and you were on vacation (life always comes first).

I’ll definitely be thinking of ways to find a balance for next season’s playoffs. I know @youloser1337 is a mastermind with excel code so I have no worries when it comes to forms, spreadsheets and all that.

Please keep leaving feedback everyone! The more opinions and voices, the better!

This was actually @Mysterious_Fish’s idea and I kinda liked it but wanted to go ahead with the full bracket! I’m very open to ditching the wild card series if majority agrees with the idea.

I very much prefer it all at once personally. If you miss you get nothing, but like, if you miss one of the even-shorter mid-round deadlines you've probably lost out on the chance to get more than 1 TPE regardless, so 🤷‍♂️

Easier to participate in, I assume easier to run since you don't have to rush to get a form up for us in between rounds, and the timeline between season ending and playoffs starting is more forgiving than the timeline between rounds.

I do like @CowboyinAmerica's idea about ignoring the wild card so there's a little more time and then doing the full bracket from there.
