Game Recap: Continental Cup Finals Game 6

Calgary Wranglers (3) - Moscow Menace (5)

Three Stars: 1st - Maverick Goncalves (MOS), 2nd - Jarmo Ruutu (MOS), 3rd - Thor Reingaard (CGY)

At first it seemed that Calgary would clinch the series victory in games 6 as they jumped out to a lead right away with a goal from Thor Reingaard only 80 seconds into the competition, however Moscow quickly responded with a goal from Bocage only 8 seconds later. The Menace kept their foot on the gas and scored another 2 goals within 11 minutes, both from Jarmo Ruutu. The 2nd period was a rather quiet one with only 1 goal being scored by Benjamin Abenduct for the Wranglers with 5 minutes remaining in the 2nd period to cut the lead down to only 1. 12 minutes into the third the Menace would widen their lead once again with a goal from Maverick Goncalves, this lead would stay the same for 5 minutes before Adi Dassler scored on the power play to bring the lead back to only 1. However less than a minute later Maverick Goncalves would score once more to clinch this game for good and secure a pivotal game 7 in this series. The story of this game was Maverick Goncalves' amazing offensive production and some stifling defense from the Menace as they only allowed 15 shots for the Wranglers. Goaltender Deadpanda for Moscow had a hard time finding his rhythm this game as he had a terrible .800 SV% allowing 3 goals on only 15 shots.
