it's all but formal at this point that Benteke is going to Liverpool.  I wouldn't call him a nobody.  Liverpool, by most accounts, has had a very effective off-season.

           Ibe                     Benteke              Firminho

                                      Coutinho

             Henderson                                 Milner

Alberto Moreno      Sakho/Lovren         Skrtel             Clyne

                                    Mignolet

with Emre Can, Adam Lallana, Markovic, Divock Origi, Ings, Gomez, Joe Allen and Sturridge when he's fully fit.

Call me crazy, but I like it.

Coach, this is real life, not FIFA 14.

You're gonna love Milner though. He's the real deal. Would be better off playing in a CM role. I think more like:

------------- Benteke ----- Sturridge -------------

--------------------------------------------------------

Lallana - Henderson --- Milner ----- Coutinho

--------------------------------------------------------

Moreno ----- Lovren ------ Skrtel ------- Clyne

--------------------------------------------------------

---------------------- Mignolet ----------------------

If you play a free-form 4-4-2 and let Coutinho and Lallana make free runs while Henderson and Milner monitor the center and wings (where they both have experience) you can get pretty great cutting runs. This way Milner can also get out wide and swap with Coutinho during live play to put in a cross to the far post for Benteke.

Someone want to give us a midfielder? I've seen Kross, Schweinsteiger, Can, Tymoshchuk, Shaqiri and Gustavo walk out the door for Pep's "Brilliant plan".

Can isn't much to stress about. Schweinsteiger is injured more than not. Shaqiri was never going to stay.

And like Victor says, you're getting Vidal.

He seems like he has attitude issues though. And his haircuts make me very mad for some reason.

It's the attitude I'm not cool with. We have one of the best leaders leave the club in Bastain and replace him with Vidal. He'll be gone next summer.

He seems just constantly pissed off.

Although if I had to put up with Italians for that long I might be also.

Chileans are normally pretty mellow people I thought. Maybe he was fed up with the ultra defensive style of play. He is defensive but maybe it was too defensive for him.

Serie A was the highest-scoring "big" European league last season #stereotypes

Also this is false, Bundesliga was. If we want to get technical, the Dutch league was.

I don't consider the Dutch league "big". And yes, goals-per-game. But most goals scored was Serie A.

That is flawed logic than too. Not every league plays the same amount of games. So most goals scored is a really bad stat to support that argument.

38 GP for Serie A, Bundesliga is 34.

But like who cares? That in itself should tell you that it doesn't need to be compared. Nobody watches soccer for the "most goals" anyway. If they cared about that they'd watch basketball instead.

So by calling Serie A overly defensive, you are suggesting the Premier League, La Liga, and Ligue 1 are well, I don't even know.

Once again it was a stereotype given through sarcastic banter. In the last five years it is the least scoring per game of all the major leagues, so call it an awkward thing to say but it's not at all false.

I don't haha, thats the point, it was a joke. Victor seems to take a little to heart though. I don't watch Serie A anymore because growing up it was the least exciting. You can't argue against the fact that Goals = Exciting.

You've used that as a serious argument a few times before though. Hard to tell.

Doesn't matter.

That the Serie A isn't as high scoring? If I did sure, because GPG, it isn't.
