Simon Valmount spent few days during the offseason with his family back in Utsjoki, Finland. Mostly known as a very cold country, it was and still is very hot weather in Finland. When Valmount was in Utsjoki, it was very, very hot. +25°C, some times close +30°C! That's hot. Too hot. Sun was out all the time too, only few clouds here and there. Valmount enjoyed the weather and at the same didn't like it. Everyone was sweating like crazy.

We Finns aren't used to hot weather, +20°C is enough. During winter time we have too cold weather and summer is too hot, there's no such a thing as "good weather".

Because of the hot weather, Valmount didn't really like to train, so he spent more time with his dear family members. Although he wanted to train more, it was just nearly impossible. One thing was very nice... On the way back to Bratislava, Valmount stopped in Helsinki to go the beach (before taking the flight), and that was very refreshing.

Finnish weather sucks. jRuutu can confirm this!!
