In what will certainly be his final season of professional hockey, the VHL's elder statesman Christoph Klose has formally announced his intention to test free agency. Coming off of his third championship and yet another season where he registered over 300 hits and over a point-per-game total, expectations are that Klose will command a lot of attention when free agency opens tomorrow. Klose has told reporters that he will not make his decision until Saturday evening at the latest, possibly not until sometime Sunday as he has other obligations that will put demands on his time, and he doesn't want to rush the decision.

"We just had the draft in the SHL and we're trying to get our final draftee locked up," Klose told the media early this morning. "Playing in one league and managing a team in another league, and the cities being half the world apart, makes this all a little more complicated. I went from the Cup parade in Helsinki to a red-eye to Seattle to do our draft. I have a few friends who are also hitting free agency, and I just don't want to rush into something in what will be my final professional season. Thank you for your understanding and patience on this."

tl;dr version - I'm busy working on my basement until Saturday night or Sunday and won't have a lot of time for the site.
