d3vilsfire 132
Welcome to Washington Mr. Gruden. You will find the toughest part of this job is the guy who is your boss. If you shove him into a closet, lock it, and throw away the key, then you should be relatively successful. Please do as good of a job as Shanny two seasons ago.. Im looking forwards to next season and how you turn out.. Anyway, at least one fan of Skins Nation is behind you. d3vilsfire 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/3833-hc-hirings/ Share on other sites
d3vilsfire 132
Just read that you are planning to keep Haslett.. Bad idea.. That is your first decision as the Skins head coach, and that is a bad one.. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/3833-hc-hirings/#findComment-28212 Share on other sites
.sniffuM 1,741
Mike Zimmer deserves to be a head coach infinitesimally more than Jay Gruden. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/3833-hc-hirings/#findComment-28398 Share on other sites

My favorite head coach hire so far is probably Lovie Smith, not just because of him but the great staff he brought with him too. Seth 92
This is going to be such a horrific hire, mark my words. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/3833-hc-hirings/#findComment-30028 Share on other sites

The more personalities to conflict in DC, the better, I say. I've also wanted Zimmer to get a head job for a while, he deserves it. Wouldn't mind if he ended up in Minnesota at all, think he'd fit well there. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/3833-hc-hirings/#findComment-30036 Share on other sites
Spangle 49
Lovie is good. O'Brien is good. Gruden is bad. Whisenhunt is bad. NFL hirings are at 50%. If Detroit hires Jim Caldwell like I heard they might, it will be all-time worst hiring. BOOM 8,745
Is Gase to the Browns looking likely? Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/3833-hc-hirings/#findComment-30084 Share on other sites
Doomsday 4,128
I've also wanted Zimmer to get a head job for a while, he deserves it. Wouldn't mind if he ended up in Minnesota at all, think he'd fit well there. I would love if Zimmer came home, but I doubt it since Garrett can do anything and not get fired. Although if the Bengals finally sack Marvin Lewis, that job is his. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/3833-hc-hirings/#findComment-30101 Share on other sites
Seth 92
The Browns head coaching job is radioactive, as it should be. Who the hell fires a coach after one season, unless they win no games? The aforementioned franchise is ran by three morons. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/3833-hc-hirings/#findComment-30103 Share on other sites
Head Moderator frescoelmo 1,276 Posted January 14, 2014 Head Moderator Share Posted January 14, 2014 This. My favorite head coach hire so far is probably Lovie Smith, not just because of him but the great staff he brought with him too. Yeah he walks into an ideal situation defensively with room to grow and a nice draft pick to start the new regime. Spangle 49
Is Gase to the Browns looking likely? I've heard people close to him are telling him to not take it. If Gase is smart, he'll wait for a different opportunity, since he'll definitely get one, imo.
