Four Facts Written In Bold Text in a Centered Alignment Followed By Five Words In Italics

During the Free Agency period, a total of $69.5 Million was spent on inactive VHLM quality players, accounting for 26% of the league's total salaries this season.

The goalies that start for the four top teams in the VHL (Apollo Skye, Rhett DeGrath, Astrid Moon and Jakab Holik) are all currently on pace to enter the top five of the most shutouts in a season leaderboard.

While Cologne Express never finishing in last place in their franchise history is a fairly impressive feat, the last time the New York Americans finished in last place was in Season 21, ten seasons before the Cologne Express joined the league.

While some people like to give Brovy shit for never winning a Continental Cup as a GM, it should be worth pointing out that he's won as many Victory Cups as a GM as Riga and Cologne combined.

Still Think We Should Contract

victory cups mean nothing I hate when people point to them. A lot of teams wait until the deadline to add their final pieces and aren't complete until then

Well that is a... telling fact :P

I was thinking of trying to reform FA this season but tbh you're probably right on what the best solution would be.

Wouldn't the number still be similar if there was a limit on inactive contracts? Like they would just shave to sign more shit players that end up costing the same. 26% seems right considering there's over 4 teams rebuilding.

Yes that's mainly why it didn't work out the season we tried to make inactives sign at min salary

only real option to changing the status quo is less teams or less cap space but obviously we not going to make rosters even smaller. Or, you know, more members

1. Yes, just limiting contracts for inactives would do nothing. As you say, in the current state, they would just sign other players.

2. I would disagree completely with it sounding acceptable, and the problem comes with the wide-casting net of the term "rebuilding" that the VHL uses. For me, that we have six teams that are spending an average of $11.5 Million on VHLM inactive players, I find that embarrassing.
