New Members Guide to Updating Attributes

Recently we've seen some new members join us and I've had some conversations with many of them regarding their builds and how to properly go about a certain style of player. I decided to write just a short little information paragraph on what you should and shouldn't avoid. Start off by saying if you are wanting success in the VHLM right away, do not spread out your TPE to 7-8 attributes. If you want to be a scorer, put all your TPE in Scoring until it's at a respectable number (70+). Always add TPE to skating no matter what position you are playing (excluding Goaltender). Do not add to Discipline if you are in the VHLM, it's a crapshoot with penalties sometimes but also other attributes being high is the only thing that would cause you to get a ton of PIM's. Strength affects more than you think (Shooting Power, Being Hit, etc..). Wasting TPE on Leadership before you hit 300 TPE is probably not wise, best to do that later in your career or when your other attributes are higher. Do not add to Fighting because it wastes your TPE.

Recap

Do Add to SKATING

Do Add to set Attributes (Focus in on 3-4)

Strength is more than just physical power, it also comes into scoring.

Do NOT ADD to Discipline

Do NOT ADD to Leadership

Do NOT ADD to 7-8 Attributes

Not as important early on as well but once your scoring, passing, skating, etc is at a decent point it doesn't hurt to add to defense, even as a forward. It gets taken into consideration in the algorithm for puck possession.

It sure does. Also to gain the puck back as a forward/defenseman
