TheLastOlympian07 2,388 Posted October 16, 2017 Share Posted October 16, 2017 Coming off his rookie contract, Shawn Gretzky was expected to be breaking out offensively but that isn't happening in Calgary so far. The Season is still young and Gretz could still have a big break out, but I am not holding my breath on it. In 8 games this season, Gretz has scored 2 goals and assisted on 4 goals for 6 points which is 2nd on the team but tied with 2 others on the team. Compared to others drafted in the same year as Gretz, he has been pretty underwhelming offensively depite the great name. To put in perspective, 36 players have more points than Gretzky right now. Yea 36 more players as Gretzky sits in 37th scoring overall in the VHL. Fred Kirgars is leading the way so far with 21 points in just 8 games. What the fuck is that right? lol it remains to be seen if he can keep that up.
