TheLastOlympian07 2,388
New York Receives: S51 Quebec 1st S52 Davos 2nd S52 Quebec 3rd Quebec Receives: Thaddeus Humbert Thomas Duddy What Went Down: The Quebec City Meute were looking to add depth to their core of Unassisted, Tom Lincoln and Aleksi Koponen for their cup run. So add in Thaddeus Humbert and Thomas Duddy to the group. Humbert to shore up the 2nd line while Duddy adds depth on the defensive end. Humbert scored 6 goals and assisted on 27 goals for 33 points in 36 games. Duddy scored 3 goals and assisted on 8 goals for 11 points with 30 SB. The depth was showing up pretty nice as the Meute cruised to 2nd place in the N.A Conference. The Meute would sweep their 1st round opponents in Calgary before having to play the Toronto Legion who were on a quest to win their 3rd straight Continental Cup. The Meute fought hard but did not stop the Legion's quest for destiny and fell in 6 games. Humbert scored 1 goal and had 2 assists for 3 points while Duddy had 3 assists. They provided depth but it wasn't enough to take down the Legion. In Season 51, both Thaddeus Humbert and Thomas Duddy were gone from Quebec to start their own rebuild. Thomas Duddy retired while Thaddeus was traded to the very same Legion team that beat them the season prior. However, Thaddeus played in 52 games for the Meute putting up 18 goals and assisting on 39 goals for 57 points proving that he still had some value left. All being said a done, Thaddeus played in 88 regular season games, scoring 24 goals and assisting on 66 goals for 90 points. He also played in 10 playoff games scoring 1 goal and assisting on 2 goals for 3 points. Thomas Duddy played in 36 games scoring 3 goals and assisting on 8 goals for 11 points to go with his 3 assists in 10 games. The Season 51 first from Quebec turned into 8th overall in the Season 51 Draft. It is widely regarded as one of the worst drafts in recent memory so the Americans came out of it with Hailey Cattrall who didn't pan out. The Season 52 Davos 2nd was traded to Cologne in another deal so we shall render than Mute (pun intended) and the Season 52 3rd turned into 24th overall which was Crash McClannahan who has a pretty bad ass name but didn't suit up in the VHL. Verdict So basically on face value the Meute won this. We won't know if that 2nd brought the Americans value from a trade either but this trade right here is a loss for Americans and a W for Quebec. @Kesler 1-0 @Molholt 1-0 @gregreg 1-0 @Banackock 0-1 @Tagger 0-2 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/48487-claimed-s50-trades-pt3-12/ Share on other sites
DollarAndADream 3,357
Review: Unfortunate looking back on that draft, and even the players involved here for the most part weren't very relevant. Humbert was pretty good depth though as well as Duddy. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/48487-claimed-s50-trades-pt3-12/#findComment-533131 Share on other sites
