Warlock on the move

Adam Warlock was a force to be reckoned with in the VHLM, but this was not just due to his on ice skills, but more since he was in possession of the Soul Gem which increased his ability to manipulate his opponents and gaining some easy points like this. Unfortunately the gem was re-captured by Thanos while Warlock visited the VHL Draft and Thanos was dressed up as the commissioner announcing the picks (yes, true story)

Ever since, Warlock has not been the same guy he was while in the VHLM. Quebec believed he did contain his true powers and paid a nice amount to the Seattle Bears, but Warlock did not get through for them. The loss of the gem proved to be to big a loss for him to continue his vhlm form into the vhl. The transition was rough and his play suffered due to it. He lost his scoring touch and became more of a defender instead.

He never panned out in Quebec, and with free agency incoming he decided to inform his manager that he would be testing the waters. As he wanted to go to either Davos or Calgary in free agency, the Quebec manager played his cards well and decided to try and trade with the two franchises, in which Davos was interested and sent Elias Sobeck and a 3rd round pick towards the Meute

Just a depth transfer, but for Davos this might turn out a good one as both Warlock and Sobeck hadn’t updated in quite a while, but Warlock was still around on the boards, but  his agent was focusing on the other player in the agency: Peter Quill. But with the move to Davos, it might be that the change of scenery will put the focus back on Adam Warlock again, while Quill is hitting his regression years. If this indeed will happen this is good news for Davos, as they have just agreed on a career long deal with Warlock. Warlock who has an NTC, also stated he wants to win a cup with the team, so the chance of heart in who gets updated seems to be a logical one.

From all the remaining teams in the league the player agent of Warlock and Quill has yet to win a cup with Davos (for which he has played in the finals with Maximoff) and Calgary, the only franchise he has yet to play for.

So with the return of the agency to Davos, Warlock hopes to have a long lasting career and while it may not have the Hall of Fame numbers of LeBeau, O’Malley and Maximoff, the welfare players Quill and Warlock also proof to still be able to play nicely in the league.

Davos definitely has got more that they could wish for in a trade in which they give up an inactive player and a 3rd round pick. This makes sure they lock up Warlock for his career instead of having to compete for his rights together with Calgary, which would have been a 50/50 decision.

Doubles week - for Warlock

Wanna hear something sad? For the longest time, your name meant nothing to me. I just thought it was some cool name that you thought up one more while brewing a fresh pot of coffee and entertaining your kids. Probably sad, hey?

Wish Warlock could have stayed in Seattle. If we could have gotten a fire under him, it could have been the right move and maybe, just maybe prevented the unavoidable rebuild for another season if we played the deck of cards right. Though, the cards we were dealt pushed us to make a move and unfortunately, that was the route.

Davos seems to have good pieces. I think Warlock will be in good hands. @Green :D
