Is it possible to hit 12 TPE cap without a job? I don't think so, considering a PT, two sets of press conference questions, and a fan590 will only get you to 10 TPE. While this is more than enough weekly TPE to create a pretty good player, that 2 TPE does add up. If each season plus off season lasts roughly 10 weeks, over 8 seasons, that would be 160 TPE, which is a decent amount. Maybe closer to 170ish if you include the half seasonish you get when you re-create. If it isn't possible without a job, from a league health standpoint, I do think that's a good idea, as it creates an incentive to get a league related job, which are necessary to keep the league running smoothly. On the other hand, from a selfishness standpoint, I'd be nice to do so without a job so no one is counting on you to get something done weekly. I guess I could review PTs...but I've done that for so long that I'm kind of burnt out from doing it and stop doing it after a couple weeks every time.

So, is it possible? If so, how?

It’s possible to get to the TPE cap without a job and even without doing a PT (providing you qualify for pension). The TPE opportunities youve missed are Trivia (which is 2 capped per week if you get both right) and doing a VHL Radio podcast instead of a VHL.com article for an extra TPE.

What he said. I don't have a job and the only time I've missed the cap was when there wasn't a trivia in the offseason.

Basically I saw this is "can I do less and get more", which somewhat makes job pay all that more desirable and keep people who want to have jobs have a leg up.

That's exactly why I wrote:

Like Pandar said, you could easily do reviewing to fill that final capped TPE. Anybody is allowed to do it, so while it's a "job" it's not really a hired job. Although funny thing is, nobody does it. It's been just me and Exlaxchronicles for a long time, and even now he's had a bit of a break. Lots of catching up to do in the grading areas.

I'll probably get back into it once life calms down a little bit

That'd be cool.

It's actually super easy these days. Copy/paste into a word count checker you can find on Google to check if it hits the word count. Then read it over a bit, even skim it if you want. Make a couple comments. You can get 8 reviews for 2 TPE done in like 5 minutes. It's always baffled me that people don't do it. It was one of the things I did in my early VHL days to get easy TPE.

It always amazes me that more people don’t take advantage of reviewing. When I initially had the concept to make it open, considering how easy it is, I kinda assumed more people would go for it. If I didn’t have job pay it would easily be my choice for getting to the cap.

Tell me about it, haha. For the past few weeks, the only reviewing log to update was my own.

It's unfortunate that other people don't review. I just don't get it. It's so simple to earn TPE with it.

Yeah, it's an easy way to hit the cap. For me, I've been hitting it with PT + 590 + PC + Trivia, so there hasn't been a need to get the extra TPE, but if there was no way to cap out I'd be reviewing again in a minute.

It'd take me longer, since I'd probably be reviewing gfx, but it still wouldn't be bad.  ?

Honestly, opening it up was actually a (very minor) reason I stopped reviewing. When I was part of the reviewing team, I appeared to be one of the only people who was reviewing regularly, so I felt an obligation to keep doing it each week. Once it opened, I figured lots of people would start doing it, so there was less of an onus for me to be reliable. But now that I know that other people AREN'T actually doing the work, I'm definitely gonna try to fit it back in my schedule
