DollarAndADream 3,357
This is a fine start. I'll give you 6 TPE for this, as you're a beginner. There's always tutorials of Photoshop you could watch to learn how to blend things, blur things, etc. Guys like Gorlab who used to be here a lot would critic things, and it's also what helped me get decent at it. I used to suck, but I tinkered with things on Photoshop here and there and got good enough. Just find a means to download Photoshop like most people do these days....it's how I got it. Here's a thread where Gorlab gave me some pointers. Here's another one where Gorlab critiqued my earlier work. Weird going back 15 pages in the graphics section and seeing that's from 3 years ago. Try downloading Topaz Labs, which is an add-on once you have Photoshop. It helps a lot with adding effects and sharpening things. @BarzalGoat Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/50436-montgomery-signature-12/#findComment-531711 Share on other sites

Commissioner Beketov 9,101 Posted July 15, 2018 Commissioner Share Posted July 15, 2018 Review: Don’t sweat it too much, everyone starts somewhere; it’s how we learn. Immediately I would say that you’ll want to make signatures smaller for sure. A canvas size this big doesn’t work for a sig and is rather impossible to cleanly fill. Personally I try to avoid going any larger than 450x200 unless I have a specific effect in mind. You’ll also want to look into getting some stocks to help with backgrounds and such so they aren’t plain colours as that’s obviously a little dull. I’d also suggest not worrying about changing the render’s number and stuff. Jersey changes can be a bit complex and look cheesy if they are done wrong so it’s better not to draw attention to the fact. I’m not sure if that effect around the render was intentional or the leftover of a first time cutting but it does look quite messy. Overall I’ve seen worse first tries. Like I said, everyone starts somewhere, so keep at it and you’ll improve. Exlaxchronicles 415
I've seen worse first tries. @Exlaxchronicles Not a bad first try Dan. As a whole, the SIG is too dark due to it being the darker blue grey. Maybe a lighter color such as a light grey fill in around the player. Your white number 9 would be a little best served in a color similar to the text on his shoulder. I would resize the sig a little smaller and make the player more centered with the logo not as big to make the player the focal point of the render. The color of text is decent and the font is plain and simple but it stands out nice against the back ground color. I would also shrink down the text somewhat so it doesn't over power the player like the logo does. Is this done on a phone? Because it sure looks like it. If so, its a lot more difficult to do a from the ground up creation and is also not easy to to do a manip, because your limited by the stock photo and definitely by what photo editing apps offer. Take a look at some of the not bad and totally shit stuff I came up with on an android phone. Decent effort Dan.
