First of all, it's been a pleasure playing with AKK and Del Rocco, excellent teammates and even though the results weren't always there, I had fun. 

 

2. Do you think having a low TPE goalie is the new meta?

I like to zig when everyone else is zagging. If everyone is going for a low TPE goalie, and the best goalie in the league in Lovstrom is there for a cheaper price, then that's absolutely where I'm going.

 

3. What are your plans for the offseason until S99 starts up?

Vibing. Davos has pretty much already made its moves, so time for some rest and relaxation before things start up again.

 

4. If you could build a franchise around one active VHL player, who would it be?

It's tough to go wrong with a blue, both for the consistency and the experience. Cardinal Copia is a pretty solid pick IMO.

 

5. Did you sign up for ProAm?

I get the reasoning for so many others to keep busy during the offseason, but I kind of like my time to chill and not have to look at anything. Everyone needs to recharge every once in a while.

 

7. What was the most shocking or entertaining series in the Stanley Cup playoffs thus far, in your opinion?

I wasn't expecting to watch that much of Colorado/Dallas, but I ended up there a few times. That back and forth was spectacular, even if I hope Dallas loses dramatically in the end.

Shocking, Tampa Bay loosing in 5 games to the Panthers. I thought it would take more than that.

I would say a mid TPE goalie is probably most ideal giving you a bit more cap space for skaters but also solid enough to win games for you in the playoffs

Just earn back some of my TPE after depreciation and play in the World Cup!

 

6. What would you do for a Continental Cup win?

It would be a nice way to cap off my player's career so I'm open to bribing some simmers!

The Edmonton vs LA series was pretty wild. Winnipeg vs Dallas was also quite good!

Planning on it! Don't know how well I'll do because I don't know the teams super well, but it's a great way to bring more attention to the World Cup.

 

2. How have you kept yourself busy this offseason thus far?

Purposefully not busy. I want to take the offseason to chill, recharge, and get ready for an excellent next season.

 

3. What are your super early predictions for the winners of the NA and EU this upcoming season?

It's so hard not to jinx Davos, but a lot of other prediction articles have us top of EU so I'll refer to them. For NA, I'll say Calgary because you can't go wrong with a repeat.

 

4. Any thoughts about the shuffling going around the league now that the salary cap has dropped?

After taking a look of some team compositions, I'm more cool with the lower salary cap. I'll be curious if it changes again once the S100 draftees get closer to their primes though.

 

5. If the team went out for a karaoke night, what would be your player’s go-to song?

Everybody likes a good Total Eclipse of the Heart. You can really belt it out, but others can sing along too and have a great time.

 

6. We are now officially a season away from S100. What should the VHL do to celebrate?

Give me those articles and retrospectives! It's a monumental milestone to hit, and I'll be excited to take a look back.

 

7. Do you have any pets? If so, what are their names?

Answering seven so I can brag on my rescue pups, Kit and Hazel. Not exactly pups anymore because they're both 9+ years old, but they're great dogs and wouldn't trade them for the world.

Haven't really paid much attention to ProAm, but Sour Grapes has a lot going on given the Italian wine reference and also sadness that Pompeii is rather... burnt. S-tier name to me.

 

2. What STHS attributes will you be focusing on improving on this season?

The one where I keep getting older so they knock down my attributes and I need to fight against that - aka, banking for regression.

 

3. How many players have you had in the VHL?

This is number six for me, but that's because I like to take breaks every so often. They're each had their own storylines, and I think Bucatini's is going to be the one-team player for Davos.

 

4. What VHL opponent’s city would you like to explore the most with a day off?

I've heard Prague is beautiful, would really like to go sometime. I wouldn't be surprised if I get there one day.

 

5. Have you followed the VHL World Cup at all thus far? 

I've done my best - especially with a 4 point game and a first star for Bucatini in the quarterfinals. Here's to hoping for big things for Western Europe in the medal rounds!

What is the meaning of life? Are we alone in the universe? There are so many unanswerable questions out there that I won't spend too much time thinking... no, it is not a sandwich.

I was today years old when I learned that I've had more VHL players than CIA

seven if the current one counts.

 

big difference in quality though lol, every CIA player is HOFer basically
