TheLastOlympian07 2,388
The VHL forum let's us go back to S35 and the first trade made in S35 was between the now defunct Vasteras IK and Riga Reign. Let's look at who was dealt. To Vasteras IK Jesper Hellqvist Season 36 Riga 3rd Round Pick To Riga Reign Season 36 Vasteras 2nd Round Pick Hellqvist in his half season in Vasteras Jesper Hellqvist - 53 GP | 1 G | 13 A | 14 P | -6 | 39 PIM | 45 H | 37 SH | 45 SB | 0 GWG Hanz Beckenbauer - N/A ----- Total: 53 GP | 1 G | 13 A | 14 P | -6 | 39 PIM | 45 H | 37 SH | 45 SB | 0 GWG S36 2nd Traded Away to Cologne Express ----- Total: N/A In a small trade that yielded Vasteras, Jesper Hellquvist and Hanz Beckenbauer in which the players traded only played 3/4 of a season for the team. It was a nothing but depth trade for Vasteras. The Riga Reign ended up trading the Vasteras Pick to Cologne and in a strange turn of events, the Vasteras team ended up with Riga's S36 2nd Round Draft Pick. Vasteras wins this trade. Corco = 1-0 Mike = 0-1 To HC Davos Dynamo Sergey Brovalenko To Seattle Bears Keija Toriyama Chris McZerhl Vladimir Bodnar Season 36 Davos 3rd Round Pick Season 36 Toronto 3rd Round Pick Brovy in Davos Sergey Brovalenko (RS) - 163 GP | 89 G | 146 A | 235 P | +71 | 12 PIM | 24 H | 1038 SH | 45 SB | 20 GWG Sergey Brovalenko (PO) - 29 GP | 12 G | 15 A | 27 P | 0 | 19 PIM | 0 H | 141 SH | 13 SB | 1 GWG ---- Total RS - 163 GP | 89 G | 146 A | 235 P | +71 | 12 PIM | 24 H | 1038 SH | 45 SB | 20 GWG Total PO - 29 GP | 12 G | 15 A | 27 P | 0 | 19 PIM | 0 H | 141 SH | 13 SB | 1 GWG Keiji Toriyama (RS) - 21 GP | 10 G | 15 A | 25 P | -4 | 6 PIM | 32 H | 107 SH | 4 SB | 0 GWG Season 36 3rd Round Picks: Passed x2 ---- Total (RS) - 21 GP | 10 G | 15 A | 25 P | -4 | 6 PIM | 32 H | 107 SH | 4 SB | 0 GWG Seattle tried to cash in on a already leaving via free agency Brovalenko and got 3 players and 2 draft picks from Davos. The trade turned out great for Davos as with the team Brovy scored more than 235 points in the regular season along with 27 more points in the playoffs while leading the team to the Season 36 Continental Cup. It was a no brainer move for the Dynamo who saw a chance and cashed in big time being able to get Brovy to sign an extension upon arrival in Davos. Toriyama on the other hand didn't pan out in Seattle leaving after his 1/4 of a season where he put up 25 points in 21 games. Bodnar and McZerhl didn't pan out and were nothing more than VHLM fodder while the 3rd round picks were passed on by GM Greg Reg. Overall this was a massive coop for GM Victor and an unfortunate loss for Greg who got the most he could after finding out that Brovy was leaving. It was the ol college try but did not pan out. @Victor = 1-0 @Corco = 1-0 @gregreg = 0-1 @Mike = 0-1 HC Davos Dynamo = 1-0 Vasteras IK = 1-0 Seattle Bears = 0-1 Riga Reign = 0-1 559 Words. claiming 1 week Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/57559-season-35-trades-12/ Share on other sites
leafssteen 50
Review: I thought this topic choice was unique as not many people write about VHL history. I found it interesting to see how the trades turned out and the stats of how the players did. The pictures and color were a great addition. Nice work man, keep it up!
