Davey To Wing It?

Davey Jones has been asked to play the left wing position this year. With the addition of Naomi Young coming in, Davey is inferior in the face off circle compared to Naomi but is a better scorer. This year will something new for Davey and he is hoping that he will be able to adjust well to the change. It is something that Davey has never done and he will have to do a lot of work on the rink and also hit the gym to beef himself up quite a bit. Also he has to seek out a long time friend of his and see if he can offer some advice. The role of playing winger is different than center because you don't really have to worry about face offs and you have to worry about being more of a shooter/defender. Being a center is something that is pretty huge on a team but winger is the more underrated position.

Davey knows that he can handle the duty of winger but he knows that he doesn't have to get too comfortable playing it as Brovy has retired. Even though he has called it a career, he gets the option to finish the season out and he has opted to do so. Trying to chase another cup with the HC Davos Dynamo is something the Brovy would love to do. If he could retire on a high note, it would be something awesome. Davey has commended Brovy on his hard work and a great career. Davey has had his moments with Brovy and tries to play the "I am superior card", but he knows that Brovy is the front line center and will be for the rest of the season. Next season should feature Davey finally getting off the second line and being able to face all of the top front line talent in the VHL.

Many people will be shocked when they see Davey playing wing, but it has to be done to ensure success for the entire team. He is ensuring the success of the team and he wants to do whatever it takes to try and win another Continental Cup with the Dynamo. This should not affect they way he scores and he should still be one of the top points players in the entire league. Hopefully he can make a push for MVP and make a case for himself as one of the leagues premier talents. He kind of surprised many people in his short career as he wasn't expected to be so good, so soon. His talents aren't so quiet now as they have been showcased during his sophomore season and his playoff run with Davos. He was awarded playoff mvp and he did so by scoring 20 points during his playoff run and helped guide Davos to a Continental Cup. He attributed a game winning goal which clinched game 7 of the Finals series.

Content: 3/3 - I definitely wasn't expecting to see Jones playing as a wing with the success he's had, but he could be absolutely lethal in this new role. Keep up the hard work and no one will be able to keep you out of the Hall of Fame.

Grammar: 2/2 - Some minor errors, but not quite enough to dock.

face off = face-off
superior card", = superior card,"
mvp = MVP
game 7 = Game 7

Appearance: 1/1 - I ain't even mad.

Overall: 6/6 - :dav:
