1 Million Dollars vs A Snail

You can get 1 million dollars and immortality, but a super intelligent/immortal snail will be following you for your entire life, and if it touches you, you will die. What would you do to not be touched by the snail? Would you take the bet?

You can be as smart as you want, but if your trapped in a metal box and buried 20 feet underground you aren't getting out
