After months of speculation, A Red Guy finally landed where he wanted to go.

The New York Americans used one of their four first round selections in the Season 68 VHL Draft to select the alien goaltender. Set to re-stock the cupboard all in one go, the Americans used the second overall selection on ARG's Yukon teammate Lance Flowers, before using the sixth overall pick on fellow Rush skater Frans Eller. The team would make it three Yukon players in a row in selecting A Red Guy eighth overall, and then used the ninth pick on a second defenseman, Houston's Fredrik Elmebeck.

New York also had three second rounders and two thirds. They used their first two seconds on two more VHL-ready players, grabbing forwards Owen Nolan and Micha Sage, before selecting prospects in Aamon Grim, Ryo Yamazuki II, and Jaxon Walker, that will ultimately spend Season 68 in the VHLM.

After joining his preferred destination along with a treasure trove of other prospects, A Red Guy was ecstatic.

"They were a great fit, obviously, from a need standpoint," ARG said after being drafted. "To go to a team that will be adding so many young players is really exciting, and I look forward to joining the great players already on the team."
