Another season has gone by and we are here. A lot of interesting comment and discussions were observed on the last seasons post so let’s hope for the best in this one! All in all, ECN is putting up its Top General Manager list in VHLM. As last year, we will be looking at the Top 5 GM’s in VHLM!

Because ECN is strongly influenced by our chief editor John Frostbeard and his ties with Houston Bulls, we will not include him in our rankings.

So let’s begin!

5th
Razor, General manager of Minnesota Storm

Selling his assets, giving away S68 draft picks? A way to go to push yourself into an instant contender talks for the next 2 seasons. This off-season was truly busy for GM Rayzor as he made quite a few trades to exchange picks and get into the position where he will have a chance to be dominant in next 2 seasons. S68 might be rough for Storm, but with right guidance, they will make playoffs as one of the lower seeds and might even win some games as there are quite a few players that stayed in VHLM for another season under the leadership of GM Rayzor.

4th
IR, General manager of San Diego Marlins

GM who is betting activity from players that might not become much, but at least his draft selections made sense. His team in my eyes are not and should not be considered a contender yet, but with good moves IR can either put himself in the contender position this year or just postpone post-season action til next year. In my eyes, great showing from a GM making his team look better than you could have expected.

3rd
Gustav, General manager of Mississauga Hounds

GM who used his picks in S68 smart and will be a true contender next season has to be on the list no matter what. I believe that with Gustav and his ability to put players in the position of success (No, I am not talking about GustavEffect, but something close to that) Hounds will attract and keep engaged many waiver pickups and in the end compete in S68 playoffs. All together, Gustav and his personality will help Hounds to have a good season and be higher in standing than many might think.

2nd
Peace, General manager of Saskatoon Wild

Very underrated draft as looking at his prospects it is clear – he is going for the long game. Considering the talent that was available this VHLM Draft it should not come as a surprise that even in later rounds there were gems everywhere but getting a group of quality players that will be instrumental this season and will help shape roster for a deep playoff run in S69. In my eyes, a quite moves by a very good GM that deserves a recognition as the 2nd best GM before the start of the S68!

1st
Matt, General manager of Las Vegas Aces

Putting his team in front of everyone when it comes to talent. Using his resources and gaining a momentum this draft, Matt was able to put a quality team together that will in the end prove to be a force to be reckoned with. Yes, some might argue that his strong push for this season will be countered by many other teams with quality talent but considering how many high TPE earners he has on his team, we will surely see Las Vegas on top of the standings this season. Now, the only question is, how will Matt organise his lines with so many talent on his team and will or will it not surround his team with drama?

Alrighty, as this is finished, ECN’s Chief editor goes into hiding. Please, let us know what you think about our ranking!
