To touch on them a bit: VHLM TPE Restriction - with everything else moving up, teams getting bulky up top, it makes sense. This is a minor change. The old rule was not being able to be above 200 TPE until after the VHLM cut-off deadline. Now the total is 250 and you are officially good to start earning above the old limit if you plan to be eligible for the VHLM next season. Reminder, you can hit 250 prior to the cut-off deadline but may not pass that mark prior to or on the day of the deadline if you wish to stay in the VHLM. If you hit 251 before, you move up immediately the next season. Releasing Players & Inactivity Rule - Here we're changing the inactivity rules to be a little different than the VHL. With the turnover being so extreme and with the amount of new players we can see in an entire season, it's important that are teams and their space for rosters are being effectively controlled. Shortening the period in which a player is deemed inactive and giving the team the power to open up that space to a new, active member looking for a home is absolute key. VHLM Free Agency - Whats new? Well, for starters - you can trade Free Agents. That's new. You can cash in and get whatever the market value is for your FA's. There's no change to how many are allowed on a teams roster at any one point. Teams are not allowed to have more than 1 active FA on their rosters, ever. Any move to make them do so will be void. Essentially, teams have 2 Active FA slots. One for signing an FA and one for trading for one or trading one away (not both, only one trade either way). Examples: You can sign a FA and then trade him or you can trade for one. TWO reminders... You can not have more than one active FA on your team at one time and Inactive FA's are still not allowed. Commissioners Cup - Addition to the rules. Very minor. Draft is currently ongoing for that as we speak. Spoiler 4. VHLM TPE Restriction Players with VHLM rights must have less than 250 TPE total at the VHLM TPE-Cutoff date (marked on the off-season schedule each season) to be eligible for play in the VHLM. Players over 250 TPE at or before this cut-off will not be eligible to play in the VHLM whatsoever. A player playing in the VHLM can apply a maximum of 250 TPE to their player. In other words, if you are under 250 TPE prior to the season starting (or the off-season TPE cut-off deadline), choose to continue playing in the VHLM and then surpass 250 TPE during the season, all TPE over 250 must be Banked. TPE can still be earned with no restrictions, it just has to be banked until you exit the VHLM. The TPE restriction for the VHLM TPE-Cutoff date includes banked TPE, unclaimed TPE, and there may be punishment for circumventing the rules at the discretion of the VHLM Commissioner's. A player whose VHLM rights have expired is only eligible to be signed by a VHLM Team if he is under 150 TPE. Any player who is called up by a VHL Team will not be allowed to be sent back down if they exceed the 250 TPA limit. Points will not be removed from players attributes in order to accommodate for this. 9. Releasing Players & Inactivity Rule If a player is bought-out by a team, they cannot be re-signed by or traded to the same team within the same season. Teams are able to cut players due to inactivity in order to make room for waiver players and other actives. In order to do so, a player/member must be inactive for a period of 14 days (2 full weeks) without posting or updating their player. There will be one exception to the above "inactive release" rule and that's if a player hasn't updated at all within their first 7 days of initial player creation. 12. VHLM Free Agency VHLM Teams are only allowed 1 Active Free Agent on their rosters. You can acquire this active FA through Free Agency or by acquiring that player via trade. Once you signed or trade for an Active FA, you have used your single Active FA slot up for that season. You have one for signing and one for trading. Trades or cutting them does not set you back to zero. REMEMBER, you can only have 1 active on your roster at a time. No warnings. Punishment will be commissioner discretion. Each team may sign one active free agent each season. The active free agent must fit the tpe requirements and post their acceptance. Free agents may only be signed for one season. Free agents can be found in the regular posted free agency thread. Under zero circumstances are teams allowed to sign inactive free agents. If the team holds their rights and they remain on the roster, all is well. If the rights are traded to another team, all is well. If the player is cut and inactive, they are unable to be signed. Active Free Agents will be disqualified from signing a contract with any VHLM team and will see a zero tolerance to any form of addition to the team once the regular season ends. No Free Agency signings during playoffs. 15. Commissioners Cup This will be held during every off-season and will consist of two teams: Team Bana and Team Diamond. Best of 3 series between 2 teams - all games will be simulated at once (one sim). Each teams roster will consist of 12 forwards, 6 defence and 2 goalies for a total of 20 roster players and these players will be picked in a draft between Diamond_Ace and Banackock (VHLM Commissioners). 1st overall will be determined magically, randomly and likely with the touch of trust and a coin flip. All players that played in the VHLM the previous season are eligible for the Commissioners Cup. Active FA signing eligibility for TPA/TPE has gone from 150 to 250. It doesn't make sense to us to limit any active player in our league for being under everyone else's normal TPA/TPE amount.
