Vancouver Wolves Visit BC Children’s Hospital

Vancouver, British Columbia – This past Sunday the Vancouver Wolves held their first ever charity fundraiser and silent auction at the BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. Not only was this an opportunity for the public to come in and bid on various items, it was an opportunity for the children of the hospital to meet their favourite Wolves players. Items up for auction ranged from signed equipment to private box ticket packages with all proceeds going to the BC Children’s Hospital. Throughout the day different Wolves players went and visited with the children throughout the hospital. We caught up with Wolves’ defenseman Jeff Downey to chat about his experience.

‘It was something else, I have to say. Seeing the smiles on all of those children’s faces when we went into their rooms really made the experience incredible. It just feels good to be able to bring joy to the children there. I hope we can do this again in the future.’

The Vancouver Wolves have said that they are planning on making this into a yearly event and will be looking to expand the auction packages even further in the future. In total the Wolves managed to raise about $150,000 for the hospital through the auction.
