Moderator Baozi 1,664 Posted January 14, 2021 Moderator Share Posted January 14, 2021 Ramblings of an Old Man (Honestly not much to see here) It’s been 10 seasons since I last won a cup. I only noticed this the other day when going back to check the cup tallies here and wow, I haven’t won since season 65 which is slightly depressing to say the least. Back when I averaged a cup every few seasons, this 10 year gap has got to be the longest in between me winning one. Thank god now I have to reset now and hopefully the next one won’t be another 10 years. I mean partially thinking of it now, it’s been harder to win based on the fact that there are simply more teams in the league now as well. Green pointed out today that the last 3 cup wins i’ve had were when we played together and over the course of our site careers, have won 5 together now. It does make me wonder about what other successful user pairings there are out there. I wonder if Victor will look at that when he’s bored and tell us? One of these days I’m going to recreate or get myself to end back up on Davos. I feel I've been away for so long and I really want to get back to my roots, where everything started. Davos (or at the time Avangard Havoc) was my first home and where all my earliest memories begin and I feel I’ve been away for so long that sometime soon, I need to go back. Whether it's in the cards for Jungkok I don’t know, because well my priority has always been about winning cups and staying ahead of the pack and Davos has been in a bit of a rut there as well. FFS Bana, how can you not figure out how to change your name on discord! Random discord discussions about how old I am always are funny. I can’t believe Quik thought I was born in 1890, I mean that’s just impressive he thinks I’m that young. Must be the skincare line I use. Chat has gone a lot less mutey since Dil had been perma muted from the holiday events. But kidding aside things have felt less toxic in general since the last few ultra bans or certain personalities leaving. Finally feels people can just normally expect to chat and chill out without having others being well….toxic for the most part. Certainly I’ve felt more comfortable...whelp cancel that, I just banned Pens aka Pensgaming YT for Code of Conduct violations in discord. After yelling at someone and using Hitler and Stalin in insult violations along with his liberal usage of abelist type slurring on the forums well. I guess the peace wasn’t going to last. Oh well. - (This was being mid typed as it all went down so I kind of luled at the irony) Had some interesting chats this morning in discord, I was trying to figure out which time period I almost left VHL but unfortunately couldn’t find records of the topic, they must’ve been left behind in the old forums since I was close to leaving VHL somewhere in the late 20s right after Kanou was finished and i was leaving my VHLM commish job. I recall the event that there was discussions and at the end of the day a few individuals told me to just hang around and see how I felt before taking the final plunge. Also i feel like pension or welfare of sorts was introduced shortly thereafter, meaning I had more reason to stay as well. I was in a fairly dark time at this point in life as I recall, so leaving the VHL was also because I was in the midst of a great emotional depression time as well.
