@VHLM GM Just a note here. I got the wording on the playoff seeding incorrect yesterday assuming given it was league wide playoffs that the seeding would carry over from round to round regardless of conference or bracket. While conferences do no matter for who makes the playoffs, the brackets themselves are meant to stay in tact after the first round. Thus, a resim of only Game 7 between Houston and Halifax whereby Houston had to win occurred so I could reset the match ups to be correct for the next round. The Semifinals are now San Diego vs Yukon and Houston vs Minnesota. Apologies for this inconvenience and I will rightfully allow a good window of time here today/tonight for GM's to get lines in with the change in opponents and the update in the index. Thanks.

You all know the drill by now I'm sure send in your lines via the portal and if you have any custom notes to send to me because of a waiver transaction or some hiccup or something do some via DM. You'll note that despite STHS stating Ottawa had "made the playoffs" and Mexico was labelled E, we all know that for playoff seeding after the 1st two seeds conferences don't matter, so says the rulebook, so Mexico DOES in fact make the playoffs and gets welcomed by Yukon, the best team in the first round. Good luck....to everyone else who may need it as well.

It's 4:20 somewhere (specifically everywhere on the eastern time zone, oh wait the clock hand has passed so now it's 4:21, what a bad joke.) We are live for the last sim of the regular season here.

1. London is headed to the playoffs! What's your playoff experience and do you think you can come in with clutch performances? Nill with this player, but in general my players tend to be role models in deep playoff runs so we'll take that as a win. 2. Since the trade deadline, London hasn't had performed as well and gotten favorable results? Are you alarmed or do you think we will find our form? Eh it's a tough long schedule, I don't think it necessarily means that we will struggle in the playoffs. We've played and been in most of the games, we are rarely shut out, I think we have some strengths heading into the playoffs. 3. Who do you hope we play against in the first round and do you think we have a solid shot at what could be our first finals appearance? Based on the standings I don't think we can play anyone but Prague in the first round. As it would be one of Malmo or Riga playing Helsinki for the Wildcard and the right to play top seeded Warsaw. As for the finals, it's really all about Warsaw. I think we can handle Prague, but the fact that we are hoping a Cinderella likely Helsinki Titans pull off the upset to give us a chance probably tells us that we may just be second fiddle in terms of overall team to Warsaw. 4. London locked up Kevin King for another season recently. He's having a career year and has set new records for London. How important is he a piece to our club? Hugely, it's always good to lock up a proven goal scorer and no better time than when your having a career year. King really has come into his own the last two seasons and could be a vital veteran star power player finishing his career in London if he chooses to do so for his final season as well. 5. What would be the weapon(s) for choice in a zombie apocalypse? A sharp thick long walking stick that could be makeshifted into a spear. Presuming it's lame zombies the threat is just panic/cardio, if your patient, aim for the head then the best option is literally the tool that is easiest to clean, resuse, and manuever. Guns are loud, require ammo, and jam. A sword would be a good second probably but is also cumbersome and harder to carry. The side advantage of the walking stick/sphere combo, aka the Splinter (TMNT) is that it's a concealed weapon by default when you use it that way. Although zombies wouldn't know better anyways I suppose. Either way I stand by my answer, a gun or some big blunt giant sledgehammer or bat would break too much. 6. We play hockey and it's and exciting sport. What sport(s) do you think are the MOST BORING...? This is going to be one of the most controversial answers to a question I've ever given. I've watched a game of cricket, I've sat through several golf tournaments, I've seen pro and amateurs' boxing, kickboxing, judo, and BJJ tournaments. I've seen Tennis, Curling, Darts, Bowling, Esports, NBA I mean you name it. The two most boring sports I've ever watched are seriously Soccer (Football) and Baseball. Literally two of the most popular sports in the world. I attended a Baseball game live and nearly fell asleep several times. It's long, hot, exhausting, boring as fuck, did I mention it's boring? It take so damn long in between innings and plays and everything. As for Soccer, I won't deny that I find excitement in bursts in Soccer but there is a bulk of the play that reminds me of being stranded on tatooine. It's like a never ending sameness of back and forth actions down the pitch. Sometimes pro soccer is like a team sport version of pro boxing, in where there is a lot of movement and things going on but none of it is really noteworthy. And then randomly something hugely noteworthy can happen and end the night.

The big triple sim make up for my mistake thing is happening here live now. Yesterday's and todays sims will occur after I've been able to maintain the winning results of Friday's late night livesim.

Posting it here first, SUCK IT DISCORD I DID IT! Also, we are live for some quick degen (is it really degen it's not even 10 pm yet here?) sims. Edit: Leaving the video archive up but I totally messed and didn't save the index from the night of the 18th, meaning we will wind up doing a resim on Sunday when I sort this all out. Generally speaking the winner in most cases in a resim (for the games that are already up) try to be maintained, but individual stats are obviously subject. My sincere apologies for my plain incompetence.

Yeah I don't think anyone is specifically targeting you for making the design in bad taste. I think it's an important conversation as we are adding teams and logo's regularly enough for us to be having a conversation about. Especially considering as @GustavMattias points out we've had logo change issues due to implied meanings in the past. Ultimately I think regardless of any Germany connotation that the tank concept in and of itself is probably something that wouldn't be accepted in many major sports leagues around the world. Because of this I think it's important to make the distinction that the Germany aspect of the theme only makes it more of a no no. If you realistically thought about it, what sports team would ever allow a literal military tank to be their team logo? Again it's not to shirk the concept, it's just, feels a bit more "Esports for a game where you play with tanks" to remove any potential connection to the actual reality of what a tank is used for. Unlike the Sabres as well you can't really play that it's decorative or symbolic, because guns wouldn't be allowed on logo's either. It's connection to modern militaristic warfare is too surreal to be represented on any teams logo imo. It feels so weird because I was talking with Jericho about this after this conversation was brought up, and remarked how when I first saw the Steel tank logo you made I thought it was a cool and reminded me of the type of zaney over the top style you see in something like C&C Red Alert. I then also had to remember that the setup of that entire franchise is satirical in nature. So for those wondering why would I care about a tank in a sports logo vs someone playing say World of Tanks, it's really about the context. Sports logo's are seen as a celebration and a reflection of a City or Country, avoiding overly violent or militaristic symbology for that seems like a pretty good rule to follow wholesale being honest.
