Promptly made finals 3 straight times and won cup in S10. Dustin Funk was onto something here, I'm telling you. Vasteras IK? Black Eagles? Iron Eagles? IK J20? So many names, so many iterations. Vasteras famously won the cup in S1, then made the finals two more times ever. They made the finals as many times when they were Madrid and Stockholm. Does Madrid count as a Swedish team because they stole Stockholm's Thunder logo and were also Vasteras? Oh and there was a junior team which was equally cursed and murdered in S36. Stockholm Vikings Lol. Bad ass logo, no cups. Got contracted. (Credit and 1 uncapped TPE to @GustavMattias) You need to go down to Remy LeBeau on 214 losses which is 6th all-time to find the first Hall of Famer. This made @OrbitingDeath sad, but LeBeau still had a winning record, was known as LeGod for stealing games for Toronto, where he spent his whole career and was unbeatable in the S37 finals when they won the Continental Cup. Mathieu VanCoughnett was one of the other options and leads the all-time losses column with 253 - he was a far cry from the Hall of Fame - a sad end for the S24 first overall pick. Then two very sad entries in Rock Star and Fernando Garcia Jr. who put up 236 losses each in less than 300 appearances each. Then two cup winners in Shawn Brodeur (S61) and Dominik Stryker (S6) who got stuck on weaker teams for most of their careers. Then LeBeau and then Stopko on 207 losses, the next HOFer down. Riga is on the verge of a very impressive achievement of 10 straight playoff appearances, which will put them ahead of S53-S61 Helsinki's 9 seasons but just behind the record 11 achieved by S24-S34 New York. Apparently getting into double digits is a bad idea as you will not win more than 1 cup in that time (although of course Riga still has time to correct that).
