  1. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
  2. Jack Shephard's last hurrah.
  3. Lol nice try Seattle back to mediocrity boys.
  4. Gow against his former team!! (for real now)
  5. Nah that's too obvious For VHL history?
  6. 1. Obviously any of the top 4 teams could win it going into the playoffs, we are now only 5 wins away and certainly I am hopeful. If we do triumph, it will be because we were a younger, more active team throughout the season and kept getting better. 2. Helsinki I think, followed by New York. Both in pretty similar positions rebuild-wise and had lots of good rookies, but which one ends up being better I think depends on what they do in the off-season. 3. It feels like Calgary is on its last legs. Even if they don't sell their veterans, I don't think they can maintain the pace of the last few seasons. 4. Obviously the 3 straight finals were a favourite. A specific moment was convincing Tordahl to sign in FA, but equally getting the Davos Seaworth avatars going for the playoffs - one of the last great rallies. Fave player has to be Thomas Landry, one of the best captains ever, an absolute steal of a trade who bled purple. Great member, shame he left soon after. That said it was a great team, few superstars but lots of good members' first players - Davey Jones @Trifecta, Shane Baker @Velevra, Sergey Brovalenko, the list goes on. 5. I'll get back to you on this one as I've hit my 2 TPE for this week now.
  7. I'm currently working on something. For the VHL's 50-season anniversary I was hoping to create an all-encompassing list of the greatest ever VHL players, maybe even a top 100. A team of veteran VHL members was gathered but a lack of consensus and my dwindling activity ended that project. We don't have any anniversary coming up now but this has been eating away at me for many years, so I will give it a solo attempt. Instead of a broad top 50/100 list, I will instead go for a few quick top 5s or 10s every week, in the following categories (maybe more as I go along): Top defencemen – maybe split along Valiq/Wylde lines Top forwards Top goalies Best playoff performers Best two-way forwards Hopefully this will be enjoyable to read and something that I or someone else can come back to in the future and update with new, even better players of the current and next generations. If you have any strong opinions about any of these categories or would just like to offer some help, then absolutely be my guest, drop me a PM or post below. The first instalment, ranking the top 10 playoff performers of the past 63 seasons, will be coming out on Monday. Watch out for it in the Media Spot section.
  8. Ryuuuuuuuuu We are loving overtime.
  9. Nice of Cast to finally show up. RIG G
  10. Just noticed the backup oh boyyy
  11. QUE G should have started imo.
  12. Gow against his former team - poetic.
  13. Make a good Irish player first.
  14. 1. You can't trust the French. 2. Depth, activity, and high TPE in the right position (i.e. forwards). Essentially the three pillars of VHL success. 3. Yeah because some saves are easier to make. If a player was blind and only knew to shoot in the direction of the net as told then yeah any shot is a good shot, but you can see where the goalie is so just don't shoot there. 4. Matt Thompson, a big mistake was made taking him first overall in S61 and he will never live it down. It's not his fault of course but I can't compete with Seattle in goals and points, but I can against Thompson. 5. Seven Nation Army because I'm a basic bitch.

  16. Cast the real MVP
  17. no, GMs only
  18. Soon we can just relocate the GM forum to the Riga LR which is ideal.
  19. Thanks for the update x
  20. Cast is exactly the same (still just 70 passing) but somehow much more assist focused. Sim is a fickle bitch. I was actually going to suggest that the hits is what drove down the points but maybe that doesn't make as much sense. I won't try it though, faceoffs is the place for excess TPE.
  21. I find it so odd you've only just scraped 800 points despite nearly 400 goals and clearly being the dominant forward of the generation. Should have racked up the assists. I guess the 99 points back-to-back with Davos didn't help. Either way, it's all about the playoffs right. Given my past with Chershenko I totally respect prioritising the playoffs.
  22. Well it was in the European Conference so.... Maybe, although I don't really care much for the rule anyway so that's not something I consider much while writing a MS. And although I'm sure I could, I do like all of the above destinations, while I can't think of any others that would be massively interesting to me. Maybe Vienna. Or Kiev. Or Copenhagen maybe, but nah.
  23. Well yeah, but the fact you lost to RIG G doesn't make it any better that you beat us with RIG G eventually.
  24. Ironside just had enough of watching McAllister and Cast struggle to score for games on end.
  25. Well at least I got to 50 goals. Definitely nothing to do with RIG G starting. ?
