Hello! Hope you enjoyed my little teaser yesterday as much as Streetlight did. What it signified is that Season 40 is almost upon us and with that, all sorts of fun stuff is on the way. Forty seasons is a momentous occasion for the VHL so we (the blue team, admin forum resident Sterling, and guest star David Knight) came up with a bunch of ideas on how to celebrate S40. All of the ideas will be implemented over the course of the season and will be announced in a week, in a month, and even at the very end of the season. Lots of TPE will be had, among other things. Oh, and lots of history. Gotta crank up that history - it's S40! ----- To begin though, we'll work on the visual side of things and get the site ready and buzzing for the 40th anniversary. Step 1: BANNER COMPETITION! Anyone willing to submit a banner will have the opportunity to do so over the next two weeks, so the Continental Cup finals and most of the off-season. You will only be allowed to submit one banner for the competition and the deadline will be Sunday, September 28th. On the bright side, you will be able to submit your banner as a Point Task and gain double the TPE for it (so, a doubles week). Plus, the top submissions will receive additional uncapped TPE. Additionally, boubabi has been a babe and sorted your colour scheme for you. The VHL will be sporting the sexy logo seen below for Season 40, so incorporate it into your banners. ----- Hmm, that's a bit big. But the occasion is big anyway so who cares. Writers might care come to thing of it since GFX guys are getting a doubles week and potentially more TPE after that. Do not worry, however. Over the next two weeks (starting Monday), you will be able to submit a historical Media Spot (or mag article) and claim double its final TPE. Again, only one submission for doubles over the two weeks and either banner or historical article, not both. But let your creative juices flow. This can be about a VHL(M) event, a team, a player, something statistical or something like my Historical Significance mag pieces. Or something even more different. ----- So, get to it. Season 40 is almost upon us.
