  1. Wasn't he like a 4th rounder? 3rd definitely.
  2. Rafter retired alongside Smalling and Chershenko, then Rybak, Labatte, and Sullivan came in but Rybak and Rafter are now shoe-ins this season.
  3. EASTERN CONFERENCE (1) Boston vs (3) Montreal Winner: Boston Bruins # of Games: 6 (1) Pittsburgh vs (2) New York Winner: Pittsburgh Penguins # of Games: 7 WESTERN CONFERENCE (1) Anaheim vs (3) Los Angeles Winner: Los Angeles Kings # of Games: 5 (4) Minnesota vs (3) Chicago Winner: Chicago Blackhawks # of Games: 4
  4. Terribly unfortunate timing coming into the league when he did.
  5. Yeah as far as I'm concerned there has been no English language coverage of the Bundesliga. Definitely nothing consistent. Any links I ever saw were Sky Bundesliga.
  6. Hamilton Canucks before moving to NY (S7) Vasteras to Madrid (S16) back to Vasteras (S21) Avangard Havoc to Davos (S11) Stockholm to Riga (S8) Amstel to Avangard (S2) is the only other I can think of apart from name changes (but not city changes). Seasons listed are first season in new location.
  7. we've been here before
  8. I have a feeling more people will. From what I can tell, up to now the only coverage of the Bundesliga was by German channels (in the UK anyway) as opposed to fairly big channels (Sky Sports, BT Sport) covering La Liga, Serie A, and Ligue 1. But I believe next season there's a major rights deal starting up which will have a lot more Bundesliga coverage all across the world, so that should help.

Yukon just got a bunch, so Lights Bokan to Bern's LR for the finals. I'll let Backenbauer hang out with other Backenbauer in Brampton.
  10. Pasta. I sometimes overestimate my capabilities.
  11. Get him back here right now.
  12. They had a lot of injuries - most of the back four (all of it once), Bender, Gundogan, Blaszschykowski (I botched that I think), and a host of others. Losing Gotze and Lewandowski is a step back but they're signing Ramos (the Berlin one) and I think with Klopp around they can consolidate 2nd in the Bundesliga for a good amount of years.
  13. Can't go wrong either way for me but I can see most people supporting just Atletico. Really want to see Dortmund and Atletico consolidate their positions in their countries' elite (Dortmund seem almost there) but it's such a struggle in today's world where anyone who becomes any good is immediately rumoured to sign for one of about 5-6 clubs.
  14. There always has been except last season when I forgot.
  15. Adding David Luiz's long shots to tiki-taka in the list of things I hate. Commendable job by Simeone and Atletico. Definitely any neutral's favourite. I fear their run will end much like Dortmund's but then again Dortmund lost by the slightest of margins and were a bit more threatening in the early stages. Madrid derby as whole is mighty fine. First one-city final, etc. I've just been to Madrid for the first time in February and it's a nice city and that's a neat coincidence.
  16. Game 1: Game 2: Game 4: Game 3: 2-0 Predict the leading point earner of the series for 1 TPE: Brovalenko Predict the leading penalty minutes earner for 1 TPE: Sound Predict the leading special teams goals earner for 1 TPE: Brovalenko
  17. trade deadline retirements have never been eligible. This was more to lock the retirement at some point since there was the possibility that the 5 teams would pick their rosters, then mercenaries would, and then someone retired and mayhem.
  18. The top 4-5, depending on the numbers, will go on the BOG ballot and likely on the GM ballot in the end.
  19. Anyone but Davos tbh.
  20. dat trade deadline
  21. well done, you all went and jinxed Riga. #returnofthevoodoo
  22. Also, Moher has slept for too long. Moher has arrived. 3. HC Dynamo , Thomas Landry 3 (Matt Bentley, Davey Jones) at 0:22 (PP) but of course it's Landry. <3 Jarkko Olsen ejected from game at 13:13 of 1st period and it's not a Davos playoff game without an ejection
  23. YES! Fuck, this series was like a finals. That's a compliment. Great job Riga and Mike, you identified a niche and made Europe so much more interesting than I could have thought in the pre-season. In fact, even more interesting than I could have thought at the trade deadline. Next season I'm sure we'll meet again and we really need to make the most of this finals appearance because we may not have the chance next season. Rematch with Toronto then. No one's beat the same team in consecutive finals. Tense.
