  1. The VHLM draft is over and all the draftees are not getting settled into their new homes and teams. Kol Mikaelson was spotted in down town Bern with a couple of his new teammates. We got to talk to him about how he was feeling after finally being drafted into the VHLM. "The draft is over and the young buck has finally made it to the next level. You already know that I'm bumping some Drake, J.Cole, speakerknockers, Kanye and more. It's about to be super lit in Bern and you better believe that. we've got plenty of talent this year and Royal fans should expect a much better season compared to last year. I think that if we all stick together and push each other then we should be the best team in the league. Winning the championship is definitely the goal this year for this team and anything short of that is a disappointment. I can't wait to get on the ice and start playing man. I want to see just how competitive this league is and then after that I want to make it my seed.To answer your question about how I feel.. I feel great. Ready to get to work."
  2. The VHLM draft is now behind us and it went pretty much as everyone expected it to go. Kol Mikaelson who has made lots of noise in the media as of late was drafted 15th overall by the Bern Royals. Not many in the world of VHL know of Kol Mikaelson and his agency Leonidas, those who do are fully aware that Bern just got themselves the steal of the draft. the guys who went ahead of Kol were more well known around the league due to entering earlier than him. The Royal's now have a really promising team this year as they had 6 picks in the first two rounds of the s45 VHLM draft. The youngest Mikaelson sibling is looking forward to what's up ahead and can't wait to get on the ice for his new team. The Royal's drafted 3 centers so it will be interesting to see where Kol will fit in the lines. It's been talked that he may be playing on the wing for the first couple of games. "I'm really excited right now. When I heard my name called up I froze there for like 2 seconds before moving. I'm so happy to be here and to have this opportunity. Like I said before I didn't care about where I got picked in terms of number and knew that I wouldn't go that high. People don't know much about me here so it's to be expected. Now with my new team, the Bern Royal's who gave me this chance I will be giving them everything I've got. You guys may not know it but I know what I'm capable of and I'm saying it now, don't be surprised when I'm the best player in the VHLM." After a down year last year the Bern royal will look to turn things around with this new squad. They've got a few familiar faces rejoining the team in Jordan Maverick and Benjamin Tumack. They've also got the best player in the draft in Zach Parechkin who's expected to lead the way for this team this year. The confident 6'6 center Kol Mikaelson will look to mesh well with these guys in the following practices before the start of the regular season. "We got a talented group here in Bern. This locker room is filled with guys you can count on and guys that will be here all season. A lot of guys here including myself or vocal and I love it. I'm already feeling at home here and I don't think team chemistry will be a problem for us going into the regular season. I've been playing at center and even on the wing sometimes so I'm still not sure what the lines are going to look like going forward. The good thing is that we can play a lot with our lines until we find the right fit. I won't lie I feel more comfortable in my natural position and look forward to the challenge of staying in that position. with two other centers besides myself on the team one of us is going to have to move to the wing." 526 words

  8. The Biography of Kol Mikaelson Childhood Kol Mikaelson was born and raised in the capital city of Canada, Ottawa, Ontario. When he was 4 years old. Kol was adopted by Michelle and Alaric Mikaelson. He joined a new family and a new world. Michelle and Alaric already had a child of there own named Niklaus Mikaelon, who is now the starting goaltender for the Quebec City Meute. As a child Mikaelson was interested in multiples things. His parents mentioned that Kol was always consumed in whatever he was doing. When he played with toys, video games, watching television etc. Kol was always into what he was doing and his parents found it extremely hard to get his attention when he was in that zone. "Kol was always so into what he was doing from such a young age. If he really liked it, you wouldn't be bale to take it away from him. His toys, his games, books etc. I remember his teacher calling me one day after school, she informed me that every time the class was assigned a book to read, Kol always finished it way before everyone else. This was back in grade 4, so you didn't see many students doing that. Again, Kol didn't do that for every book, just the books he took a liking too." - Michelle Mikaelson. When Kol was in elementary school he played and started for practically every single sport that was available for boys. Kol didn't just play a lot of sports in school he dominated them. He was so good that he was a star on every team he played for and was regarded as the best athlete in the history of his elementary school. Out of all the sports he played, the younger Mikaelson brother took a special liking to soccer, volleyball and hockey. "He was always the best at the sports he played. As a parent it always made me proud but tired at the same time haha. The amount of games I had to attend to. It wasn't until middle school that Kol focused more on a select few sports. In middle school he decided to only play for the hockey, soccer and volleyball team. So you know I had a lot less games to watch now haha." - Alaric Mikaelson. A lot of high school coaches took a liking to Kol after hearing about him from his middle school coaches. Kol didn't really care about which high school to go to and so he just simply went where his older brother was attending. "I remember asking him about where he thought he should end up. All these coaches wanted him to play for there respective schools but Kol didn't care. He looked at me and said I'm going where all my Niklaus is. I respected his decision and never thought about it again." - Alaric Mikaelson. High School After a spectacular middle school career Kol followed his older brother footsteps to St. Patrick's high school. Kol did the same as he did in middle school and only played for the hockey, soccer and volleyball team. Kol was not only an athlete but a winner. He won trophies and reached finals with every team he played for. His win streak continued in high school as the Irish always had great soccer, hockey and volleyball team. The streak came to an abrupt end in his grade 10 year, the St. Patrick's Irish hockey team was unable to win the city championship for the first time in 3 years. Kol was so effected by the loss that his coach said he staid behind after the game an jut sat in the stands as he stared at the blank ice. Kol took a big liking to hockey over the other sports thanks to his older brother Niklaus who was really into it but it was also this very loss that really had him decide that hockey was what he wanted most. "That was the day I fell in love with the game. Everyone thought I was just really mad about losing but it wasn't that at all. It was my first time not winning a championship and it was my first time knowing what it felt like to lose. We lost to a strong team and that made me want to be better. At the time I played 3 sports and I didn't have a favorite between them. I did like playing hockey in large part because of Niklaus who I practiced with all the time and always had fun, but It was after that day that I actually took hockey seriously." - Kol Mikaelson. When he said he took hockey seriously he wasn't joking. The following year Kol dropped volleyball and only played soccer and hockey. He had been playing for his hockey senior team since grade 9 and was named captain in his grade 11 year. Mikaelson put 46 points, 25 goals and 21 assists in his first year as captain. Kol was the first player in the history of his school to reach the 25 goal plateau. Mikaelson's athleticism put him a level above the rest. He not only scored at will but was able to contribute o the defensive end as well. His explosiveness made him such a hard player to lock on and it made him draw a ton a penalties. In his senior year Kol dropped soccer and just played Hockey a he wanted to focus more on just one sport. He was named regular season MVP for the second straight year and won the city championship with the Irish. For the first time in St. Patrick's history, Kol and the Irish went into OFSAA as the number 1 seed and the number 1 seeded team did not disappoint as they won the OFSAA tournament. Kol recorded 13 points, 8 goals, 6 assists in just 6 games. "He made it look so easy. He is by far the best player I ever coached and I've coached some really great players here. It was like he got into the game more and more every day. When he dropped soccer in his senior year to just play just hockey..that's when I knew he was going to be great. He's so quick, has great hands, explosive, he can see the ice well and create opportunities or his teammates. He's got so much potential and it's clear to see. I received several calls from colleges from the US who wanted to speak with Kol to have him play for them. I remember turning most of them down because I knew Kol wasn't interested in going to the US. " - Coach Jefferson. Future The next step for Kol now is the VHLM. Kol wasn't interested in playing in college and instead chose to play for the VHLM who have produced some of the best hockey stars in the VHL today. With the VHLM draft a few days away, Kol Mikaelson now waits for the next step in his long journey.
  9. S44 VHLM Top Prospects Game IS this still happening
  10. With the VHLm draft just around the corner we here at TSN decided to have a little sit down interview with one of the brightest prospects coming in season 45. The VHLM has seen multiple talents come in and out of the league and blossom into the next level that is the VHL. Kol Mikaelson is and will be regarded as one of those talents. Standing tall at 6'6, Mikaelson does things with the puck that we haven't seen a guy with his size do in a long time. A lot of people like to compare him to the likes of Mari Lemiuex and after watching some of his highlights those people may have hit the spot. Are you looking forward to being drafted in the VHLM? Yes of course I am. This is basically the first step in my career. My life will start as soon as I here my name announced and wear my first ever VHLM jersey. You know I had to choice between the SHL and the VHLM an I know most would go to the SHL as it is a lot more competitive but I took this root because of the potential in this league. We've also got solid stable managers here and I know that I'll be guided down the right path in the VHLM. Any specific team you'd like to join? The Ottawa Lynx. It's pretty simple really Ottawa is my hometown. If I could be able to play at home where I have my family and friends watching me that would be a dream come true. That isn't the only reason that I want to be a Lynx. I know the Lynx have been struggling recently in the VHLM and I would really like to bring them to the top. Should Kol Mikaelson go first overall? Kol Mikaelson should go anywhere the GM's think he should go.I'm not going to tell you that I should go number one overall in this draft. I'm always playing hard and if the GM's have watched me play and believe that I am a first overall pick type of talent than so be it. I'm very confident in myself and my game and whoever does draft me won't regret it. You have an older brother who's already in the VHL. Has he given you any tips yet for the VHLM? Ya Niklaus has given me a lot of tips and such. He's really told me more stories than tips to be honest. I'm really blessed to have an older brother that has already gone through what I am about to go through now. He already knows how I am and knows that I'll always be having my head up. I just wish he was in the VHLm so I could score some goals on him like I did back home. What are your goals for your first season in the VHML? I want to be the best player on the ice each and every night. I want to bring the championship to whatever team I am a part of and be able to lead them on and off the ice. I want to win, that's why we play the game. I'm not here to make friends I'm here to win the game. 547 Words
