Eggy216 got a reaction from Corco in Saskatoon impresses in game one against Ottawa
While the Wild lost their second place position to the Ottawa Lynx as the regular season came to a close, it didn't take long for the Wild to show they didn't need home ice advantage to pick up wins in the playoffs. While shots were close at 30-29 in favour of the home team in Game One, the score went the opposite way with the visiting Wild taking the win 5-3 thanks to Daring Do's 2 goals and 3 points as well as Jake Scheel's 2 assists and 3 points on the outing, as well as goals from Gabriel McAllister and Bradley Marko. The team was helped by strong, disciplined play, leading to them getting 6 powerplay opportunities as opposed to the Lynx's 4 chances, and converting on two of their powerplays while holding the Lynx to only one powerplay goal. Going into game 2, Ottawa will maintain home ice advantage, but the Wild have shown that wont' be enough to stop them from taking home a victory. For the Wild to keep up the pressure in game 2 it'll require similar performances from linemates Do and Scheel, as well as goaltender Brienne O'Tarth whose 27 saves and a .900 save percentage were crucial in the team's game one victory.

Scheel and Do Help Lead Saskatoon to Victory
Game 1 of the Semi-Finals
VHL.com // J.S. Augusta
After finishing the season on a high note, Daring Do dazzled in the first game of the VHLM semi-finals with a three point performance, including two goals. Line-mate Jake Scheel also notched three points, two of which were assists, to help lead the team’s offense. The Wild ultimately won the game, defeating a very game Ottawa Lynx. This hot start of the playoffs should come as some relief to fans of the Saskatoon Wild, as -- although one game is far too early to predict a player’s performance throughout the whole of the postseason -- it’s a rather welcome departure from the early-playoff struggles that plagued players like Scheel and Do last season.
Although the Wild ultimately surrendered the second place position to the Lynx, this early victory secures them home ice advantage over the Lynx. It only takes one loss at home for the Lynx to gain that back, but with how close the two teams are in all aspects of the game, even a slight early advantage could prove itself to be a significant one. It’s also worth noting that two of Do’s three points came on the power-play, as the Wild were able to take advantage of a less-disciplined Lynx team.
While Do and Scheel may not have become the dynamic duo some thought they would, instead scoring most of their points off of other teammates, the prospect of both players getting hot early is encouraging. If they can continue to play as they did in game one, and players like McAllister and Ron continue to perform (or even play at their regular season pace), the Wild may be a team to watch.

Eggy216 reacted to Corco in VHL 10th Anniversary Celebration!
I'm making a media spot about this; it's a bit unfair to restrict roster sizes to be that small, every team is going to be basically the same (800+TPE HOFers). Every team in the league has enough historic players to field a full 20-player roster. While sure it's nice to commemorate the extremely successful members of the VHL who will have these players in the tournament, such as sterling, Victor, and Higgins, is it really in the league and best interest to have only 6 players per team; especially considering that a good amount of those players' agents are inactive, and many members of the league, especially newer members, have no idea who they are? I'm not saying they shouldn't be in the tournament, but there should be other players as well. The VHL needs both super active high TPE earners as well as semi-active lower TPE earners (in comparison to guys like Tom Slaughter, Thomas Tukio, Ethan Osborne, and Daniel Braxton) and to stay afloat, so why not celebrate some of the latter? The tournament should feature guys like Chico Salmon, Teemu Lehtinen, and Klaus Muller as well as the ones I mentioned before.
like I said, all of the teams have enough historic players to field full 20-player rosters, so why not give some sort of requirement (x player had to play at least 2/3 season with a team to be eligible) and give more than just the elite members of the VHL the spotlight?

Memory #1, 7/17: My first player was a Catalan nationalist, and it was a pretty great experience joining the league to have people who actually paid attention to the narrative I was laying out for him along the way and comment on the direction I was taking with him.
While I went inactive on his career, I quite enjoyed the experience I had with everyone and the way people were treating me, and it's a big part of why I eventually came back. Twice.
