If you're looking for ways to get to the 9 TPE cap, the best way is to get a job. As it happens, it appears there are openings for a Media Spot reviewer or a Graphics reviewer right now. Considering they haven't gotten an application in a week I like your odds, if you're interested.
 
Another way would be to submit a short podcast in the VHL Radio section for 2 TPE, instead of these articles which are 1 TPE. They don't have to be anything fancy. You could just spend 10 minutes reviewing Hardy's performance in the last week or something like that. I have a hard time keeping mine below 30 minutes, and I edit them for fun, but you don't have to do any of that for the 2 point versions.
 
If Trivia returns this season, there's opportunity to earn 1 capped TPE each week through that too.
 
I know it might seem limiting, but don't be discouraged! One day you could be like me and make more TPE than I can even claim. But I don't recommend it!

OTTAWA – The puck officially dropped on the Brent Hardy era Thursday and already, the Ottawa Lynx seem newer and more improved. It took Hardy all of 10 minutes and 9 seconds to score his first VHLM goal, a power play conversion that opened that drew first blood in a win over last place Bratislavia.


 
“Just incredible”, Brent Hardy said in describing his first VHLM action. “...the fans were great, the boys were fired up, and we prepared to play some aggressive hockey.”


 
The aggressive style of play was a sight for many sore eyes due to Ottawa’s recent struggles to get shots on net. The tempo had definitely changed on Thursday and the Lynx put off 45 shots in route to a 3-0 victory over the Watchman.  After the game, Ottawa GM Sandro Clegane credited Hardy as being the difference-maker.


 
“Brent’s addition along the blueline allowed coach to put forwards in their more natural spots for several shifts”, explained Clegane. “The team played with more energy and confidence...it certainly showed in the box score.”


 
Hardy’s goal came after a high sticking call put the Lynx on a man advantage. It didn’t take long for the power play unit to open up lanes where Hardy put an Eric McCroy pass to the back of Bratislavia’s net. The Lynx’s newest addition finished the night with a goal on 6 shots, a pair of hits, and a pair of blocked shots.

You get 6 TPE capped for doing nothing, versus having to do a graphic or something. So doubles week is better (TPE wise) since you get the extra 6 uncapped.
 
As for your PTs needing grades, they technically don't anymore as long as they're not embarrassing trash, so you can definitely claim your graphic and article (which never needed a grade).

TORONTO - A day after opting out of a scholarship to Boston College and opting into VHLM free agency, defenceman Brent Hardy has landed with a team of his choosing.
 
"I'm super-excited to say that I'll be joining the Ottawa Lynx", Hardy announced on Thursday afternoon.
 
Speaking in front of a small media gathering at the York County Elite Youth Hockey facility in the District of Scarborough, Hardy made his decision as the first player in the VHLM to sign under the new, "player's right to choose" waivers system.  While sitting alongside his father, Gordon, and older brothers, Dean and Danny, the youngest of the Hardy hockey family explained his decision.
 
"Ottawa is close to home and I place we all loved to play hockey growing up.  The Lynx made a great pitch, top offer, and they have a lot of players that I think will help me improve my game.  They are not about selling the farm... they want to win and I love to win."
 
Hardy's decision to sign with Ottawa comes as a bit of a surprise to many within the VHLM community.  Several league insiders believed the Toronto native would lunge at the opportunity to pair with Izidors Balders in Yukon.  Instead, Hardy will head to Ottawa and potentially be the difference-maker in a three way battle for the Eastern Conference crown.
 
"I want to thank the teams that reached out to me and expressed interest.  There were a lot of good opportunities on the table but I feel the Lynx bring the best."
 

From my end, I would agree the new VHLM waivers system does force GM's to be engaged. For what it's worth, Ottawa's pitch was the most detailed and made the most sense. I would agree the waiver period should be pushed to 24 hours after player has been approved by the league for entry. Too many guys fill out an app, do 12 hours worth of shit, and then are never heard from again. There's more to be excited about with a newbie who comes back a day later. 
 
And yes @JardyB10, had you been job searching and not playing SHL...Hardy would've been playing for another club. Glad it worked out though.
