  3. SYNDERGAARDS REACT WRITER: TOMAS SYNDERGAARD SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA The season has been a strong and memorable one for the Saskatoon Wild. Many have concluded the team is well on its way towards winning the VHLM Championship, and with the recent addition of stud young defenders Aksel and Tomas Syndergaard their chances have only improved. The two Danish natives have made a small defensive impact on the team to date, playing solidly on the third line pairing. Respected as one of the top up and coming blue line pairings the game has to offer, it's no doubt the two will be able to move into a first line position by next season. Neither of the two have scored a point in their first seven games with the team, but have put together seven hits, two shots blocked, and twenty shots on net. Together they've become a strong shut down pairing vying for the eye of VHL GM's. But what are the thoughts of both player's with their performance so far this season? To some, it may seem like a disappointing showing for two players that made big demands before officially entering the VHLM, but to coaches and real hockey critics it's been a perfect start to wonderful careers in sports. We were able to get in touch with both of them about their performance and outlook on the season. Interviewer - "How do you feel about your personal performance this season so far?" Aksel - "I feel I've made a strong impact on the team so far. Even though I don't score very much I still play physically and cause offensive opportunities." Tomas - "I'm not sure about it so far to be honest. It's disappointing me to not be scoring often, but that comes with joining the season later on. I'm sure our offense will pick up later in the year though." Interviewer - "Where do you see yourself going in the next VHL Entry Draft?" Aksel - "I suspect both me and my brother will go in the top of the draft, seeing as I haven't seen many other prospects around the boards or on the ice lately." Tomas - "I'm very confident in my draft position. I think GM's will see my dedication to the league and my team and will be impressed so will select me with their high up draft picks. Of course some of it also depends on my performance on the ice, but I think that is a secondary part of draft stock." Interviewer - "How do you think the Wild will do in the second half of the season? Do you see yourselves being a contender for the VHLM Championship?" Aksel - "I think we can continue our reign of dominance into the end of the season. We have a very good team going, and so far it seems like most teams can't contend with us. When it comes to a championship I'm really not sure, but that's for sure something that's a possibility." Tomas - "The championship is for sure something we have our eyes on, especially with the squad we have going right now. I think we have all the pieces in place to take it home!" The two players say they have high hopes for their careers and the rest of the season with the team, and make promises that their offense will pick up before the season comes to an end. Each of the player's expected by the league and fans to add at least twenty points each to the current total the Wild has running. Tomas especially has a special talent to score, but both have a special way of putting the puck in the back of the net.

  6. Earlier today young defensive talents Tomas and Aksel Syndergaard stated in a press conference they had come to terms with VHLM North American Conference's Saskatoon Wild. The two players, reportedly extremely happy to have signed their first contracts, inked the dotted line at an entry level $1,000,000 deal that included each of their three demands as writen out in a previous article. "Saskatoon approached us very respectfully and listened to what we had to say." Said Tomas in the interview this morning. "We felt they were the most appropriate location for us to go and we now get to follow out dreams of playing in North America." The city of Saskatoon welcomed the two players with open arms this afternoon after they flew into the city from Washington. The player's were taken in by a face full of snow and reports say they seemed right at home in the small prairie city.

  11. TOMAS SYNDERGAARD ROOKIE PROFILE WRITER: TOMAS SYNDERGAARD FYNN, DENMARK The VHLM was taken by storm yesterday as young defenders Tomas and Aksel Syndergaard declared for the upcoming VHL draft. The two youngsters have rumors surrounding them of possibly signing with the North American Conference's Brampton Blades, and some of the VHL's teams have already seemingly taken an interest in bringing in the two young players. But today, we focus on Tomas Syndergaard and his young hockey career. What drives and makes Tomas the player he is today, and how does he differ from his brother? Today we find out. Tomas Syndergaard was born in Fynn, Denmark on June 12th 1999 five minutes before his brother. He came out of the womb smaller than Aksel, and would stay the same his whole life. Now towering up at over six feet and weighing a solid hundred eighty pounds, he's a physical force who's ready to take his game to the next level in the VHL. Pros 1. Tomas has already developed his defense to a high point, and it shows in his play on the ice. With constant defensive cycling and a dominant shut down play style he is worth every minute he plays. 2. He doesn't sacrifice offense for defense. While his numbers aren't the highest, he still provides secondary point production and will continue to do so in the VHLM. 3. Syndergaard is dedicated to his team. The young player is ready to take the next step and will give away anything to play at a professional level. 4. His size makes him a looming threat on the ice. Smaller players are afraid to get into the corner with him, and his history of contact only strengthens those fears. 5. He's a strong skater, and can skate better backwards then some players can even skate forwards at the VHLM level. With more development in that area, he will continue to skate laps like he did in minor hockey. Cons 1. Tomas isn't the strongest of a player, despite his physicality and offensive presence. Working towards muscle growth might be a good use of his time. 2. It's been spoken in the past that Tomas has issues with other players on the team and that coaches have eventually had to remove other players from the situation in order to complete the wishes of Tomas. 3. His brother is a must have alongside him. The two have been a defensive pairing for a long time and it's very unlikely they want too continue that trend. 4. He isn't coachable, and reacts poorly to people telling him what to do. This could cause more internal issues on the team. 5. His greed on the ice is there, but it's small enough that it won't be a problem. One notable fact is that more often than not he will pass to his brother rather than another open player. As you can see, Tomas Syndergaard is a very two way player. While he has equal ups and downs, it is obvious the pros outway the cons in this case. Any team who brings in this player should be happy, and will have gained a valuable asset.

Nothing shows up for me on buttons for centre or anything. And when I put source code it does nothing.
