  1. I did not expect someone to guess this guy but I'm glad you did. lol @ the third one. I think when I posted it, @Quik said my logo swap could have been better and 16 y/o me got on like a baby and did this instead.
  2. for the first 8-10 sigs I couldn’t remember the gradient map tool. I kept using gradient overlay and wondering why it wasn’t doing what i thought it was supposed to lmao. I still can’t find a good site that has some nice “vector”style stocks and I wish I had all my old brushes.
  3. lmao no, I didn’t exactly spend the 12 years in between on photoshop
  4. surprisingly I have none of sterling
  5. not quite Jesus but here's @v.2 second player
  6. I managed to dig up my ancient Photobucket account where all my O.G VHL sigs were safely stored. The last one I uploaded was in 2010. I can just dump them all and show how shit I was at GFX 11 years ago, but I figured I can make a game out of it. Guess a VHL player, and if I have a sig for them I'll post (tag me so I don't forget about this topic) . We can make it a hangman style game, I guess, but It either way it will probably just end up me dumping the portfolio.
  7. Review It’s easy to review your sigs because I’m a huge fan of your creativity. Flawless lighting and text again (pretty much your bread and butter), and the fuzz around the render is a nice touch. I like how you produce a lot of depth with effects/lighting without using a lot of stock images. The only thing I don’t like about this one is how far to the left the render is. 9.25/10. Edit: After I posted I notice you added a resized one that kind of addresses the far left comment... so bump it to a 9.5/10 LOL.
  8. Review I consider myself on the other side of the spectrum as gorlab. To be honest, I think this graphic is way ahead of its time deserves the full TPE credit that it applies for. The low resolution of the background provides depth to the graphic and brings out the render. It's not very often that someone spends 90% of their sig time on the render, so its nice to see that for a change, and by god it's beautiful. I get it. the Yukon Rush are based off mining and you made sure that this player was themed as a miner (or is it a mascot?). Either way, if I'm skating down the ice and I see this mother fucker between me and the net, I'm dumping the puck in and changing for the following reasons: 1. He's one solid color. I have no idea where he's looking or what he's about to do. Is he mad? Does he want to kill me? How strong is this black silhouette? I know how strong Mr. Game & Watch can be on Smash and I can tell you right now I would not want to fuck with him. 2. He's holding a giant golden axe. I mean look at it, it's half the size of him. If he is indeed angry, one swing and I'm dead. He's obviously not going to play the puck here as it would be more effective to just chop my knee caps off. Sure, it's a game misconduct if that happens, but now I have half a leg. 3. The cowboy boots. Not only is this guy about to kill me on the ice, he's got me at the drip game too. All in all, I expect this graphic to end up in the VHL Louvre, and if I was on the Yukon Rush, I would have that in my sig ASAP. 10.5/10.
  9. Just out of curiosity here, is the 350 TPE cap no longer a thing for WJC?
  10. 1.I'm the new agm replacing dlamb, is there anything you'd like to know about me? Your favorite pizza topping. 2.Yukon GM @Juicewas pied recently for losing a bet, do you think he will follow through with his promise to win the Founders cup next season? 7/8 chance of a No, so I'll stick with that. 3.The lottery tournament is over and New York placed 1st! How does that make you feel for the upcoming season? I don't think I'll be going first so I guess that means I won't be drafted by NY? 4.We're now further into the playoffs has your mind changed on who you think is going to win the Continental Cup? I honestly have no idea who's the favorite. 5.Do you pay attention to the WJC event held during the offseason? I'll be playing in it, so I'll pay close attention. 6.What's something new you'd like to try? Surfing.
  11. Review Honestly, I can't even remember you making sigs back in the day, but either way you're very good at it now. I like the "wrinkled" background with the coarse texture added to it. It gives it a lot of depth despite looking very simple. Render, text, colors and background blend perfectly. I would have liked to see the render a bit bigger though with respect to the rest of the sig. Relative to what I saw in your sig dump (a LOT of 10s), this gets an 8 from me.
  12. Review You are so good at blending + lighting. I'd love to see one of your PSD files. This is very "out of the box" and probably my favorite from you so far. The only thing I don't like is the emboss/3D effect on the last name text but that is very minor. The combination of the blended renders, blurred background and blue/red lighting really brings it all together and makes it so unique. 10/10 from me.
  13. 1. Now that our season has officially ended, describe your overall experience with the kings (what you liked and disliked) I really enjoyed the minutes which allowed me to increase my draft stock. I didn't like the lack of roster players and not having a goalie for most of the season (not anyone's fault) because I feel like we could have made a good run with the team we had by the end of the season. 2. Even though we didn’t make playoffs, we still get to watch. Who do you think is gonna take it all? The Hounds. 3. Who do you feel has been the most improved player on our team? What did they improve? Tui Sova. Started off slow and wasn't getting minutes, then ended up becoming the highest scoring defensemen in the S78 draft class. 4. What are your plans for the offseason? Strength and conditioning, work on my game to get ready for the draft (including the combine). 5. Do you plan on staying in the VHLM or are you heading to the big league? Where are you hoping to go? It depends on who takes me. I want to get ice-time. Obviously I prefer the VHL, but if I'm only going to get 5 minutes a night I don't see it being beneficial to my career. 6. What is one thing you would recommend to new players joining the league in your specific position? Have fun and try and play for a team that can give you ice time.
  14. Review Love the creativity here, and its generally something I've notice you put into your sigs. Everything blends well, and the fruit roll-up color scheme looks nice. It's a little too much blur and I would prefer if the text is a little more readable. Still a good job!. 8.5/10.
  15. Review You are definitely the most creative member that I've seen so far. I could never come close to having he mental capacity to come up with something so abstract that works so well. I love those render reflections incorporated into the background. It's so hard to make a text work for such a complicated sig, but it's perfected here.. color.. font and all. This is my first 10/10 that I've given, I wouldn't change a thing on this.
  16. (April 21st -2021 – Mexico City) S78 draftee Anze Miklavz notched his 40th goal yesterday against the Ottawa Lynx in a lopsided 8-1 victory for the Mexico City Kings last night. The rising star, who has since scored his 41st against the powerhouse Hounds, is currently tied for 10th place in goals with only a couple games left on the season. “Yea, it feels good to be putting the puck in the net, definitely a bright spot to a disappointing season” Miklavz said in his post-game Zoom call, referring to the Kings 15-49-6 record this year. “I definitely feel good about my play and my game as we close out the season and head into the draft”. Miklavz, along with star defensemen Tui Sova, were add-ons and not officially owned by Mexico City. Both are expected to be Top 10 picks in the VHL draft, and arguably the 1-2 in the VHLM draft. With a comfortable 7 goal lead, Miklavz expects to head into the draft as leading goal scorer in the S78 class and top winger. Despite Mexico City’s struggles this season, Miklavz went out of his way to praise them for his development over the season “I definitely want to thank the team and training staff for the support and world class treatment I’ve received this year, you know, the record doesn’t look good and it was tough sometimes, but we knew what we were and I still managed to grow as a player”. With the season winding down, Miklavz next focus is the draft combine and off-season training leading up to both drafts.
  17. PRESS CONFERENCE 1. With the VHL draft nearing, what round/pick do you think your player will go? I plan to be a first rounder and hope to be in the top 10. 2. Now that the season is coming to a close, what do you think your players greatest strength has been? Definitely scoring. Only one away from 40 and I believe that leads the S78 class. 3. Where has your player improved the most since the beginning of the season? My plan was to focus on my passing and playmaking skills. I do have 40 assists and feel like I see the ice pretty well. I would say that’s something I mostly improved on. 4. What has been your fondest memory of your time with the Kings organization? My first hat trick! 5. Do you feel your player is ready for the VHL? Explain in one or more sentences. I feel like I’m ready to contribute now, but it will be up to the team that drafts me. Of course I want to be in the VHL but if my team feels I should start the year in the minors again, I’ll support that decision. 6. What is one thing you plan on working on with your player during the off-season to get him/her in shape for next season? Going to build some muscle and hope to get more strength.
  18. @MOOSE_ How to make your sig show through Imgur (credit to @bigAL who showed me) 1. Open the Imgur link 2. Right-click the photo in Imgur and click "Open in new tab" 3. In the new tab, right click the image and click "Copy Image" 4. Paste your image here. Review I said I wanted to review another one of your sigs since you're starting out. This is definitely a step in the right direction. You have that similar foggy effect going as you did in your first one, and now you have a pretty decent looking jersey swap. I said in my last review I didn't like how your player was looking away from the body of your sig, and you did it again here (LOL), but this time it actually works well! You've added some text effects, lighting and a background, so its nice to see you're getting more used to some of the basics. Your benchmark was 6.5, so I give this one a 7.0. A slight improvement but trending up!
  19. Review You are very good at blending your render in with the background (including other sigs you make) and you do it exceptionally well here. The text choice and design is perfect and the effects you have on the render are really nice. I feel like it could use a couple extra layers to add a bit more depth, even if its just for some additional lighting to bring your render out a bit more. Overall I still give this a 9.5/10.
