VHLM isn't going beyond the VHL in # of teams. It would require having multiple simmers, something we can't necessarily depend on. Not to mention, there's no reason for it?

Kendrick your video is great. If there's anyway we can shorten it by about a 30 - 60 seconds and add in the forum address, I think it's a little bit more exciting than Beketov's. Obviously he's a lot better with graphics but I like your idea little bit more. Maybe your music with his text being put in from time to time? I still think we can make a slightly improved video with ideas from both combined.

No - my point is, we have a great tool that hasn't been utilized 1 bit. a 45 second advertisement that jumps right into what the VHL is. the only issue is that the URL is too damn long.

My main point still holds - it took a long ass time to make it and we don't use a professional video. EVEN YOU WHO MADE A VIDEO had no idea where they were posted, but got nice and chippy about it. Why don't you loosen the grip on the steering wheel some? Beketov's I think is really good, professional and timeless, so definitely nice work. Has anyone ever used it?

Disagree with the up front cap of recreation TPE. Nice idea but would ultimately screw the player who only gets 1 season of VHLM Achievement Tracker. It adds unnecessary work and most players in here have admitted it was added motivation. Then people will start complaining about the 47 TPE bump players get right at the draft.

Fong forfeited the TPE as well I believe. I also believe he posted something in his update thread stating he would not use those points.

Where's the video? Is it already dated? My guess is we haven't used it in 4 or 5 seasons already. We should avoid having things like # of seasons in there (unless that can be easily updated year to year), any reference to date, etc. I was probably the most active in the Recruitment Crew. Then I stopped as I got another job, and maybe missed it. If you care to provide a link, let's see if it's cracked 100 views yet!

You don't have to claim points. I believe tfong did something where he professed he declined points. You don't AUTOMATICALLY go up if you decline them.

Recreates get points because they're what made this league great. Guess what - when Olynick retires in a year or so, you'll get recreate bonus, too, my man. And I've already worked the math - the only advantage recreates get is like 50 TPE tops. And that's if they go out with 900+ TPE. New players get their first 3 PTs doubled... 18 point advantage veterans don't have. Another 10 for dual Training Camp. And if you retire with 1000 TPE @ 7% for re-creating... you get 70... the difference there is 42. A very small advantage in the grand scheme. Big to start, small at the end of 2-3 seasons.

They didn't belong to a VHL team. There, solved. You can't play 9 VHL Seasons. Only 8. And you are eligible to play in the VHL based on when you create your player. I also DOUBT they were at 175 before Game1. In regards to "DELAYING" your adding of points, you delayed it for an entire off-season. Here's a for example on how you can legally work the rules. I didn't earn TPE to get over 500 this year because I knew it would help in salary. The salary brackets are cut at the end of the season. So, when S36 ended, I stayed at 499 to stay in a lower salary bracket. Similarly, you could decline points (even if awarded to you) that would put you over 175 before the season.

maybe i don't know the best cut gallery's, but what are some better ones? cut gallery's don't need really complex HTML, right? i haven't fucked with HTML in like 6 years.

That's what I'm saying. That would be fucking awesome. We would destroy SportzIn's NHL gallery. We definitely have the capability, we just need someone to give someone with HTML knowledge the AdminCP capabilities (I think).

On French community, we had someone (I forget who), ghetto re-write the Welcome Message in "French"... would be good to look into that, too.
